What does Bhm. Sea stand for in the modern map version?
In the modern map, there's a territory named Bhm. Sea. What does that stand for? I always assumed Bohemian Sea though that doesn't exist (and the sea isn't close to Bohemia). Perhaps it is Bornholm Sea (after the Danish island in the Baltic in that area)?

When Is The New Forum Going Live?
I had a quick look at the forum a while ago. It looked good to me. Any idea when it may go live? On a completely unrelated note - any chance we may turn SSL on for the site?

Identification Methods
For a story I'm writing, I need an adult who has lost his memory to not be easily identifiable. How do I make this feasible?
For instance, I expect the Dutch government to have the fingerprints of Dutch citizens. Do legal immigrants or people with a refugee status have their fingerprints taken as well? Would illegal immigrants or tourists from countries that don't take fingerprints make for a solid storyline? Are there other options?

Known World 901 - Playable?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm fairly new around here. I'm looking through the variant maps, and I see one that looks like a lot of fun, the Known World 901 map. On the Variants page, it lists it as active, but when I go to create a new game I don't see it as an option to select.

An open discussion about elaborate ways to restore reliability rating
I was thinking how there are members on this site who ruined their Reliability early and can never restore it to the 90th %tile. What if we did a series of experiments on these people. Hook them up to machines. Or perhaps put them in a room full of rats and see if they survive. The goal being we develop a way that someone could go from a 13% RR to a mighty 78%

America appreciation thread.
I love the United States. I wish I lived there. Let's talk about how nice of a place it is.

It's nice. Money's good, food is great, the scenery is amazing, the people are very well-mannered (if you don't piss them off), lots of stuff to do, etc.

You can drink the tap water in most places, and quite a lot of them speak English well enough to allow for basic conversation. These days some of the local beers are almost pleasant, so you don't have to opt for imported stuff.

Parts of America still look like they only exist because getting rid of them is too much effort, but they can be avoided with a little planning. Most of it is perfectly ok. Erm... what else... Oh yeah, some of them are genuinely called Randy and use the name with a straight face, which is hilarious.

Nonsense! It's one of my top 2 favourite nations in mainland North America, and if I were to make a list of foreign countries I'd consider living in it would only be beaten by Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, Denmark, The Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Germany. That's top ten performance!

Where to begin? The food is top of the line, anything and everything you can think of available for your purchase at whim. Hardly ever run into idiots who don't know how to drive, haven't heard a horn honk in months, making the roads a pleasure to cruise. Entertainment is everywhere and comes in too many forms to count. Help wanted signs all over the place, no one who wants a job seems to be unable to find one. It really couldn't be too much better to be honest.

I appreciate the fact that the USA is a long way away...

I have seen Niagra, grand canyon Yosmite and Bryce canyon , I also went to Africa , Africa wins by a furlong.

The only thing unique to the USA would be The Vegas Strip . Which I see as The US in a nut shell .
MajorMitchell (1600 D)
11 Nov 17 UTC
Good call Smokey Gem, Las Vegas (not just the strip) is the city that most displays "what the USA is, what it's values & aspirations are" (imho)
At least Annapolis has e decent Mayor now..they've elected a former Australian, a Democrat who described himself as "the anti Trump" type. Inclusive, not divisive. ( or not criminal LoL )
Octavious (2802 D)
11 Nov 17 UTC
That's your honest opinion, Major? Really? I've always thought of Vegas as a parody of the American dream. When I think of America what springs to mind is a generic small city in New England. Something quite pleasant, truth be told.

Places worth visiting -

New Orleans, Boston, San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Santa Fe, Juneau, Key West. The Adirndacks, Yosemite, Yellowstone, Glacier National, Smoky Mountains, Lake Superior/Huron/Upper Peninsula, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Everglades, Katahdin.

Everything else is boring as shit.

How many times has this place failed or expeditions to it have failed? Seems like the liability lawsuits alone wouldve ensured that park wouldnt have ever been remade.
