um... no, republicans would not celebrate 350 white guys burning down a mosque. stop being ridiculous. you have no basis for that in 2017.

there are about 5-8 thousand KKK members according to the SPLC out of a country of 330 million. meanwhile, the number of actual neonazi groups since 2014 saw a spike fro 72 groups to 190 groups in 2015, then down to 130 groups in 2016

this all hints at a bunch of very small, isolated movements, that have fallen apart rapidly.
meanwhile, the data on how many white supremacists total are in the USA is much more difficult to pin down. the SPLC can show us the number of groups, but stumbles with an overall population count. there are also studies that try to base the population off of internet users, but have found immediate flaws as the internet has a more radical base.

there was that amazing headline that 22 million americans are Neonazis, all coming from a poll by Washington Post-ABC, the question itself was about whether or not it was "Acceptable" or "Unacceptable" to hole neo-nazi or white supremacist views.
of course what the poll didn't define was what that even means. does that means unacceptable/acceptable by LAW, or simply in a social standing? Because then the question is either talking about a cultural point, or it's talking about first amendment rights, depending on how you view it.
of course the exaggeration the media had to run with.
the basic fact of the matter, is that the number of racists in america who commit racist actions, is a tiny minority of the population. not just crimes arrested, but crimes reported rates by the FBI prove this.
