Dutch FtF championships, Utrecht, Sept 30 -Oct 1
The Dutch Diplomacy Championship 2017 will be held this year in Utrecht on the weekend of 30th September / 1st October. Utrecht is a lovely
city and just half an hour train ride from Amsterdam, with its excellent international airport and easy connections to pretty much anywhere in the world.

Fiscal Conservatives should be against providing Disaster Relief to Texans
Its their fualt for living along a coast. We should shut down the government, and not spend taxpayer dollars helping rebuild homes for people who built in high risk areas. Disaster Relief shouldnt be political. So lets deny everyone aid, regardless of that states political leanings. PS I dont believe what Im.saying just fyi

Another bizarre idea
As long as we're doing weird game variants. How about:
an anonymous gunboat game where all diplomacy and discussion is allowed on the forum. Folks posting might or might not be the power they say they are, and might or might not be playing in the game.

CAPT Brad should be permanently banned
Why is this creep allowed to post on the forums? The guy was totally out of line. The mods talk all the time about "preserving the quality of discourse" on these forums but then let him get away with a slap on the wrist after sexually harassing someone online. Absurd.

Does anyone care on here or is it just me?

yeah i guess that's a no.

Care is perhaps too strong a word. I was more interested in it as an example of marketing a show than the fight itself. In terms of promotion and hype it was exceptional. In terms of the fight itself, what pretty much everyone thought would happen happened.

McGregor took it to round 10. Frankly not much surprise in the result though I was always kind of hoping for a McGregor knockout, but after the first 3 rounds it was clear he wasn't going to land anything hard.

Good fight, right person won. The money is stupid hey?

Did he take it to round ten? I suspect Mayweather could have finished the fight much earlier if he'd been inclined to do so. Instead he opted for the low risk option of thoroughly sounding out his opponent. I'm not saying that was the wrong call, but I don't think Mayweather was ever not in control. It got to round ten because that was Mayweather's will more so than McGregor providing a stiff opposition.

The ideal result would have been for McGregor to have knocked out Mayweather with an illegal move in the opening rounds. That way they would have both lost :p.

Alas, it was never going to happen.

I think Mayweather's plan was to tire Connor out, that's fairly obvious, but McGregor took it too him pretty hard in the first three rounds. By the fourth, Mayweather started to come out of his shell and actually got a good blow by McGregor, but that round was by no means a clear win for him. He didn't have a way to beat McGregor's early energy, but he couldn't stay defensive the first six rounds, so he had to up the tempo

Floyd's looked as good against southpaws, which also probably played into this, but there were a few moments early on where i legitimately though Mayweather might get laid out. The uppercut by McGregor almost made full contact, but it's little moments like that which he couldn't carry on.

After round 5, i was just hoping he'd make it to the twelfth. still, fun fight, especially having to hop on periscope, from stream to stream

*never* looked

one big point against Connor is that... he's 29 and in his prime. Floyd is 40. Floyd looked like he could go all 12 rounds and then get into a bar fight while Connor looked like he needed a drink at about 6. Still, classy performance by Mayweather, he used his strengths well and McGregor really looked like he wanted to start kicking or sweep his legs haha

Remove Discussion phase on the forum as a variant
The reason I want a forum without the discussion is because we already have a lot of threads, most being about steephies company, and punching shit, and I find the extra time it takes to mute them all a bit excessive.

Liberals are even worse than conservatives
The left should be focused on abolishing nationhood and class. Not microaggressions and compromises like minimum wage.

How to start the game without it canceling
So I've been waiting for five days with six players to start a game, and as soon as it starts, I refresh and it says it's been canceled. Says I did not reach the limit of seven players. How do we actually start playing, after the waiting period is over?
