It's okay to punch Nazis
I purport that it is perfectly ok to beat up the following types of people:

- Nazis - Neo-Nazis - KKK members - David Duke - White Supremacists -

IRL work Horror Stories
No matter the field of profession, we all have work horror stories. The days when everything fell through the cracks or the work load was just too much. Tell about it. Only rule is try to avoid names and such.

I am a manger at a chain restaurant; our staff is small as our business model doesn't require a large staff. (Usually a shift is 2-3 staff + a manager) recently we had an issue where one of our cooks was fired followed shortly by another being arrested and another quitting. At this point we have 4 managers (one is super green) and a handful of servers but absolutely no kitchen staff. So for about 2 weeks all the management worked double duty as management and cooks. Abysmal.

Back in the 1980s, our university cheapest bid process IBM clone computer failed because it was installed with a defective version of the Microsoft operating system. The company had moved on in those few months to selling computer servers and initially denied selling the computer. When presented with evidence of the sale and the threat to have then blocked from all further sales to the state, they finally after weeks of fighting fixed the installation. It still had problems where it would lose the hardware configuration of computer disk drives, CPU, and memory so we had to reinstall that information by hand from a computer repair disk.

Then we found the university had charged our research group for another computer that we never bought that had also bid. So we had to file to get back the money into the research grant.

My wife and I lost a baby at 17 weeks. After a brutal two days in the hospital and holding my tiny tiny baby daughter on a Friday, I headed back to work on a Monday because we had a big commission hearing the next week. I left and flew to the meeting for five days and stayed at this skanky cheap hotel because my organization was super cheap. I won a couple of good victories. Ten days later my boss flies back from his tropical vacation and doesn't say he's sorry to hear about the baby or even congrats on the victories but chews me out for not getting some low priority letter filed that he hadn't even mentioned before he left. What a fucking ass. I quit three months later

Ogion's story is without doubt the shittest shit-sandwich.
I hope no one has a worse one :(

It certainly torpedoed what would have been my horror story about when the office completely ran out of milk and, in a state of desperation, we resorted to opening the box of liquorice tea that some sick bastard had abandoned in the canteen...

I'm amazed he stayed the 3 months.

Trialing the upcoming new forum system
The new forum system is up and running, and we're ready to let users onto it to test it as we transition to it from this forum.

Probably best if you respond there rather than here, but I guess it doesn't matter:

Nazi march in America?
Someone with the Twitter handle @JuliusGoat just dropped one of the best Twitter threads in history, about the white supremacist/Nazi march in Charlottesville.

Why couldn't I move?
Hey I was playing Italy in this game. I tried to have my fleet convoy my army in Tuscany to Smyrna. Neither were being attacked or blocked, but I was unable to make this move. Why? Here's the link to the map: http://webdiplomacy.net/map.php?gameID=203295&turn=9&mapType=large

Unpopular opinion thread
I saw this posted on another forum and it ended up being a great thread.

Post an unpopular opinion you have, and only comment if you (dis)agree under others - no arguing.

WWI year-by-year re-enactment game
Would anyone be interested in this? To be clear, I mean instead of playing, we figure out a blow-by-blow of WWI and then re-enact it phase by phase.

Reporting myself for multi accounting
I created this account when I used up all of my 100 coins to join games and wanted to play more. I did not realise that this was prohibited and in fact, I still cannot find where the rules are located on this web site. I had to google to find the page.
Could the Mod please contact me and ban this account and verify that the two accounts have never been in the same game.
