Would anyone be interested in joining a game with some friends of mine and I?
I have 3 friends that I would like to introduce to the game, but can't seem to talk anyone else into playing with us for a full Ancient Med game. Just a casual, low-bet game, probably 2 day turns.

Hehe, Trump just bowed to Saudi king and curtsied too
Just another example of Trump hypocrisy. He slammed Obama for merely bowing. The curtsy was bigly over the top.

Juggernaut is actually a horrible alliance
Despite the fearmongering ive seen in Press games about Juggernauts over the past 5 years ive been here...I cant help but note its low rate of success and how its paranoia often benefits France or England most. Please share games where Juggernauts fail miserably. But also include ones which work out in a 2wd (if there even is such a situtation)

Is it Treason to sympathize with the Confederacy?
Shouldnt it be treason to sympathize with the Confederacy? We fought a war and defeated them. Hundreds of thousands died more than any war fought by America. For people who still wish the south had won- chant the south shall rise again or fly its flags isnt this treason?

Should otherkin be forced to give up their human rights?
Are there any otherkin on this site? I'm genuinely curious to understand this culture more. If you identify as something non-human, do you think you have a right to get the privileges that all humans deserve? Or do you believe you're in a separate category and thus have different standards and base rules to start off with?

@BladeRunners obviously play infection that game is fucking lit.
@Jamie it just means those hoes over There. There doesn't have an exact location tied to it. That way it can be used for any scenario. Like when I am on the playground playing infection and some kids say they got tagged because "They weren't trying".
I would say to my friends "God look at those THOTs.
Fucking L
If they are too slow and get tagged then don't complain about it smh. Yes Frank Yi I AM LOOKING AT YOU>

I dinna understand. What use is a hoe in a playground ? A hoe is useful in the vegetable garden for thinning out the weeds. Do your playgrounds have unusual infestations of weeds ? What's a hoe doing "over there" ? ...Don'tcha usually find hoes in garden tool sheds ?

"Taking the L is not US specific"
Perhaps not, but I have not heard it from my children in the UK or Australia.
TrPrado (372 D)

That's because it's only common among the most annoying parts of internet culture.

Thanks for the explanation.

DD's comment remains snarky.

I have no idea what "taking the L" means & I have a reasonably good knowledge of Australian slang. When I googled "taking the" the first five listed options were: ( taking the ) piss, next step, mickey, fifth & pill.....so taking the L doesn't even register as a common usage extension from "taking the"
When I put in "taking the L", the results were..(taking the) long way round, long way, lead, long way home & liberty.
If it's " taking the liberty " then the more commonly used form of that in "cockney" (English) slang is "taking a liberty", not " taking the liberty"
A slang phrase or expression might have limited, esoteric use amongst a particular group somewhere, eg a particularly juvenile part of the internet, but that's quite different from being "common usage"
Cockney slang has spread to a much wider range of users than just those who live in part of London through migration, film, TV and books and cartoons.

Probably not in the Bible but...
Before Jesus took over John's ministry what did people think of the fact that a man in his upper 20s wasn't married and had no children? Wouldn't that have been exceedingly rare at the time?
