How can I become a crappier person
I have recently been told that I am funny, kinda weird, a stalker, spammy, and an artistic twat. Do you fellows at WebDiplomacy observe these traits about me? How can I become the worst me possible? What tips and advice can you offer? How can I become a shit human? This is a serious thread and I want to become even worse than I am.

You discover a map to buried treasure
There is a catch. While visiting neighors you find the map in the hands of their infant son. The treasure is likely real as youd heard of the map and its fabled promise. The problem is not just that a child is holding the map- its that the family desperately would need the treasure to pay off their debts or they may end up on the streets starving. However you also know the babys mother and father gamble, drink and are rather unsavory. What do you do?

There's a new robot called the omnibus that does all the work that needs to be done -- faster, cheaper, and more accurately than any human can do. Wrinkle: only one person owns it. Is this a problem or a blessing?

Three Build England, possiblility and effect on game play.
As far as I know, there is only 1 set of moves that gives England 3 1901 builds, what if in a real game, England, Germany, Russia, and France must complete those moves, what will be the diplomatic effect in game?

Ah, Christianity. The belief that a cosmic Jewish zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a woman made out of a man's rib was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magic tree.

Happy Easter! Hooray for Zombie Jesus and his chocolate eggs.

If atheism is true, it is far from being good news. Learning that we’re alone in the universe, that no one hears or answers our prayers, that humanity is entirely the product of random events, that we have no more intrinsic dignity than non-human and even non-animate clumps of matter, that we face certain annihilation in death, that our sufferings are ultimately pointless, that our lives and loves do not at all matter in a larger sense, that those who commit horrific evils and elude human punishment get away with their crimes scot free — all of this (and much more) is utterly tragic.
sandyshu47 (512 D)

Welcome to the dark world of atheism... I hope you packed your brown pants cause the constant thought of death being the ultimate end will scare you shitless. Other then that, have fun!
CAPT Brad (40 D X)

Theism is as reasonable of a position to take as atheism.

I’m not sure if God exists, but the religious tradition has brought us science, so it can’t be all bad.

I’m not sure what God is, but theists might know. And if they do, maybe they should worship God.

Nobody believes in “sky fairies” we should stop using that insult.
sandyshu47 (512 D)

Of course it is, anyone that truly believes that there aren't things out there that are bigger then us that we cannot truly explain are just close minded pessimists.

Eh.. Just because something else is out there potentially, why would you worship it? And why would whatever is out there have necessarily created us?

You can understand the potential of other life and easily be an atheist.
sandyshu47 (512 D)
17 Apr 17 UTC
I would say as an agnostic with beliefs similar to the one stated by DO that what you are describing would be classified as an agnostic since that is in essence being open to the fact that there are unexplained things out there. Whereas the atheists I've met all shut down any talk that there might be something bigger then us out there and claim science will explain everything (although I do believe that science will eventually explain 99.99% of everything in the universe but there will always be the unexplained that is just out of our reach and I think that its that optimism that separates agnostics from true atheists).

The way damian entered the game as a replacement and managed to cleansed Moscow's scummy reputation by very active participation was very impressing indeed well worth the MVP award. Cleansing his name using the gun shoot was very risky but effective.

Snowy played very well too, being town read so long so long and is my runner up.

The way Ezio handled his fake Laptop claim was really nice. And a bit lucky that the scum team were all going to his watcher target EoN1. In hindsight, it was not so smart of the scum team to choose the same target.

As a liberal evangelical, I have great respect for Agnostics, Atheists and followers of other religions, even if I don't agree with them.

What I won't do is insult them or ridicule their faith.

Both Atheism and Agnosticism are as much statements of faith - respectively being in the absence of any deity and the impossibility of proving one way or another - as following Islam, Hinduism or any other religion.
ghug (5046 D (B))

Anyone making the argument that humans can't be moral or civilized without religion is revealing more about their own nature than they are about atheists or agnostics.

Anyone who complains (or +1s complaints) about shitting on a specific belief system while ignoring the harsh criticisms of others in the same thread is a hypocrite.

Happy belated Easter to those who celebrate it.

The worst part about Christian holidays is that they refuse to align themselves with solstices equinoxes and other natural events. Random middle of spring holiday? Check! How about four days after the winter solstice for now reason? Sure! Our religion is bigger than the natural universe and our own biology I guarantee it!

I don't know where you live, but where I live my atheist friends and I just mess with each other about our beliefs. Like if I sneeze and dont get a bless you I'll playfully mutter "darn atheists". That is the worst understanding of quantum mechanics, or the widest definition of heaven, that i've ever heard.

Depending on what you mean.

Most materialists don't believe in a soul, and neurosciennce doesn't require invocation of quantum theory to explain what we understand about the brain. Dualism is an intellectual dead end; and the supernatural has offered no explainatory power over the past 100 years.

Quantum mechanics is mysterious and fascinating, but only mathematics offers any insight into what it says about the Universe.

@mitomon capt brad, you taught quantum physics

i was teaching my students about the Higgs boson years before it was proved to exist.

The Higgs boson is an elementary particle in the Standard Model of particle physics. It is the quantum excitation of the Higgs field, a fundamental field of crucial importance to particle physics theory first suspected to exist in the 1960s

Christian holidays is that they refuse to align themselves with solstices equinoxes and other natural events.

Here is one. Western Easter is determined by these criteria: Start with the vernal equinox, determine the next full moon and then the following Sunday. That is Western Easter. And now you know why the Catholic Church encouraged the sciences. Recall it was Pope Gregory that urged his astronomers to determine the exact length of day and year and then had the Western calendar changed to up date the year with the vernal equinox.
CAPT Brad (40 D X)

the concept of the leap year was an invention of the Catholic Church
