Can a fleet convoy an army and also provide support to another unit?

Worst possible 1v1 matchup
What would be the most unbalanced 1v1 matchup possible on the Classic board? I could see England v Russia being awful for England, especially with Russia enjoying 4 builds/turn.

Scoring System Proposal
I don't know if this has been suggested but:
1. If there is a winner they get the whole pot
2. If there is a draw, it's always a seven* way draw regardless of elimination.

Best way to learn code
I want to learn how to code, but am having trouble deciding where to start. Their are many free resources, online classes, boot camps, etc. I would prefer to teach myself, but lack the knowledge to know what language I should be learning first and so on. Any tips from the experienced code writers here on WebDip?

Stalemate Gaming
Is there a rule against holding a stalemate indefinitely even though the situation is clear? I think he's hoping the rest of us give up and leave, which if it isn't against the rules yet then it should be.

PPSC discussion thread:
I don't particularly care for PPSC. But saw that another thread was having this discussion as a sidebar and thought it fair to start a discussion thread. There is reasonable support for PPSC and regardless of the majority opinion the minority's should be heard.

Abolish Sum-Of-Squares scoring
Ok, so I understand some people don't like PPSC and don't want it back. I disagree. BUT let's talk about SOS instead. It's a terrible scoring system and is directly contrary to the rulebook.

It is based on the standard map. When we create the game, for each country, we set if this country is a player or is armed or is unarmed. And we set if the neutrals are armed or unarmed. That would be displayed that way
- Austria: O player - O armed - O unarmed
- England: O player - O armed - O unarmed
- France: O player - O armed - O unarmed
- ...
- Russia: O player - O armed - O unarmed
- Neutral territories: O armed - O unarmed

I am convinced that it is easy to develop (given it "only" concerns the starting map) but I can't even evaluate the number of different variants this offers... 1v1, v3, v4, ... armed/unarmed, ...

When you start this variant, you set a parameter (O player - O armed - O unarmed) for each country.

Turkey: X player - O armed - O unarmed
-> means that France is a normal country with her supply centers armed

Turkey: O player - X armed - O unarmed
-> means that France is not playing but her supply centers are deployed and hold

Turkey: O player - O armed - X unarmed
-> means that France is not playing and empty at the start (like in the current Austria vs France 1v1 for example)

That's kind of like the Known World map with neutral SCs defended, but limited to just a subset of neutral SCs.

And also the opportunity of setting which countries to play with.

Eg. we can have a 3-player game (Germany / France / Austria) playing, with Italy armed to balance the map and with all others empy...

Eg. we can have a 4-player game (Russia / Germany / Italy / Turkey) with Austria unarmed and all the others centers armed...

Just limited by the creativity of the creator of each game.

And it is easy to inform potential players of the variant. We would just need to specify which are playing and which are armed (all others are unarmed) with something such as : pAFGaI

And I am quite sure it is easy to code.

Hmm I second that actually. Completely throws off balance and changes the game entirely, but it could still create cool games.

There's some rules-questions to consider if you implement this, though. It's also never gonna happen on webdip and probably not on vdip.

New Scoring System Proposal
I don’t know if this has been suggested but:
1. In draws have everyone alive share the pot equally (As they should because SoS is garbage)
2. In a solo, the soloist gains a portion of the pot equal to 18* divided by the number of centers controlled by the soloist or survivors (but not neutral centers or those of resigned powers) and the survivors split the remainder proportionally based on their center count.
*Or however many

Going Away Game for the World Map
I wasn't a huge fan of it, but we should do a going away game for the World Map, similar to the Inaugural Known World 901 game we're running. Same deal, we get a mod to make the game the last one before they officially shut it off.

Bug in attempted Known World move

Attempted Daju to Makuran with Al-Qatta'i support. Somehow, the support is showing as cut, even though no unit attacked Al-Qatta'i. Also, the orders page is showing an error. Please help.
