Looking for a reasonably good player with at least 80 RR.

I need to replace out of a game I am in due to substantial constraints on my ability to play the game. I would like to leave the people who so graciously signed up to play and granted me a pause when I needed it with a reliable, quality player. My position is precarious but has strong solo potential.

Stupid question

I've just finished a gunboat which uses Sum-Of-Squares scoring. Wouldn't the amount of points I receive be equal to 144/(144+400+1+1)*375= 99 points? Why is it treated as a winner-takes-all game?

What exactly ends a pause?

So I'm in a game with a player who's left. A new player is willing to enter and I'm wondering what happens if we pause the game to give him some time to get settled. If all players vote to pause a game and set their moves to "Ready" will the game process? If a new player joins the game, does he have to vote "unpause" to get the game moving again? The FAQ didn't seem to have answers so I'm asking here. Thanks!

Everyone will have to vote "Unpause". Which is an option that replaces "Pause" in paused games.

Try to make complaining to the mods a last resort. We already babysit HR, we don't have time for more obnoxious children.

Since nobody gave you full answers, the moderators can only help you unpause a game if you make sure you specify a length for the pause in the games global press.Then if 2 weeks go by without everyone voting unpause the mods can unpause it for you. If all players pause the game and then vote ready the game will progress as soon as it is unpaused. Unless it is unpaused by a moderator in which cause it will not progress until someone in the game checks the game or the phase length expires. And if a new player joins a paused game then yes, he also has to vote to unpause it.

Is Mafia Taking Over Diplomacy?

I come to this website to play Diplomacy with anyone I can get to play. However, so many people play these Mafia games with such intensity that they don't want to play Diplomacy games. Perhaps someone should start a Mafia website for them.

Does anyone know why The Diplomatic Pouch site at http://diplom.org/ is down? I noticed it wouldn't load about a month ago when I came back from my hiatus. When I was playing in June it was still working.

My ex hasnt contacted me

So its been since August that she got thrown in jail and totalled her car. My ex has my phone number and she just opts to no longer talk to me. In our last conversation she tells,me I am psycho but I am too good at expressing my emotions.
