Which country do you think has the most respectful people?
Limited to civilian people, military does not count. Overall, from all areas of the country. Two rules, cannot say your own country or a country you have never actually been to or only heard of.

Trump saves money by hiring cheap foreign workers. Does minimum legal requirement to get them instead of US workers.

DemonOverlord played great too. Anyone who baits a NK is legit as VT.

"You, or Vecna. Or Flood. Hell floodgates killed 2 scum."

mhm, PR's did a good job, though doc mostly later in the game. Cop reads won the game. Floodgates played good, but I don't think it was the best play here. Jamie and Chaqa were shots most people would take, so I'm not sure if that counts for him, though he was off radar for the mafia and kept his calm, maybe it is. And if we count "goddess" for that, we should also remember Maniac. And ghug (though his nk was mostly because mafia feared his lategame).

for town, I have two people where I want to give my thoughts into:
-) brain obviously, his day 1 was I think one of the game deciding moves. He could improve his behaviour in his tunneling from what I've seen, consider not only one of his theories, but all of his thoughts at the same time. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think if you had combined your theories and looked at the overall picture, it might've been even better.
-) I don't know if you think so too, but after his day one, I think DemonRHK improved strongly in his play. His reads and logic were good, he was the one that noticed that the roleblocker wasn't here and played solidly after he got on his feet. Even when other townies suspected him for being scum. He was relevant and might be the reason why town got 2 scums instead of just 1.

"Kaka played really great as scum. "

Thanks, but I've noticed some mistakes I made, some subpar game and maybe I shouldn't be in charge of the nightkills (like on the last day). I was ok to good in hiding, or at least surviving, but not so great at manipulating. So yeah, thanks for the mention, but I don't think it was a great game for me. It was very enjoyable and I had fun, but I have much to improve there. (well ... at least I can brag of my 100% scum voting :p )

I think Vecna would have won it for us if it had continued.

MAFIA XXVI WILL BEGIN ON TUESDAY 3RD JANUARY 2017

SIGN-UPS WILL BEGIN NEXT WEEK ALONG WITH FULL SET-UP INFO

Theme will be "The Asylum" and will be a fairly classic semi-open two team setup with no third party. There will be some unusual roles (although all of these have been tested in play to some extent; none are home-brewed).

Chaqa and others! You wanted a search tool. Here it is!! :)

The full message DB is searchable. You have to give one or more usernames...

It is the M25 messages.
Floodgates (2079 D)

Nice, I love it! I might be greedy but is there a way to search for 'all' just to get the whole game in one page?
Floodgates (2079 D)
15 Dec 16 UTC
Besides typing all the names
peterlund (1310 D(G))
15 Dec 16 UTC
At the moment you can list all names (case does not matter), you get all names easily from the m25_d1.txt file for instance.

I think I better keep it this way so those kind of searches are not done too often. Have to think a bit of my bandwidth :)
Floodgates (2079 D)
15 Dec 16 UTC
Fair enough. It's a far easier format to reread a whole day than this forum, I like it.
peterlund (1310 D(G))
15 Dec 16 UTC
Maybe I could allow an all user search as long as the search contains a one day condition. Also I think I just need to implement a counter to measure search traffic to make sure it does not get completely out of control. I could be more liberal as long as that gauge counter does not show too high traffic I guess. Do that tomorrow any any other kind of changes too. This search thing was a fast hack to get something working. I go into the details now...
teacon7 (306 D)
16 Dec 16 UTC
^ if you have the program auto-generate log files for each phase (D1, N1, D2, N2, etc), you could cut down the bandwidth use because each of us would be able to download each log individually. I hope that would mean ... we'd only need to access it once, then Ctrl + F within our own local viewing programs.
peterlund (1310 D(G))
16 Dec 16 UTC
Teacon. Yes that is an option in order to direct people to pre-made searches that are not complete history, maybe that would keep bandwidth usage down. Or I can introduce a automatic stop at end of day/night with a link to next day that the reader needs to press in order to continue into the next day/night phase.

Anyhow I fixed the presentation a bit. Restored the line breaks in the search result messages. And later this evening I fix so you can search for users having a space in their full names. It is currently it is not possible to search for HR due to this. Such a search need to be quoted. "Hellenic Riot" and my search tool need to handle those quotes properly...

http://mafia.peterlund.se/search_form.html has been improved...

- Word searches for now need to have proper word boundaries.
- Quoted searches work now for user names and words.
- For words quotes can be used in combination with "|".
- Updated help text on form page.
- Print hours:minutes to deadline in search output.
- Add a color code per player in the message presentation.

Is it me, or is the Modern Diplomacy map really bad?
The starts are more unbalanced than in any other variant, and builds anywhere means there is no incentive to defend your homeland, and lessens strategic depth as there is also no incentive to try your best to hold your ground when you've extended relatively far from where you started. I've played this variant a couple times, but it keeps disappointing me. What's the appeal?

I'm not purely trying to detract here, I sincerely want a counterargument.
