Disband order for CD
When a country misses a move during build phase that it needs to disband in, what order are the units disbanded in? Is it totally random? Or does it have to do with the timeline in which the units were built?

Entry 250@, Gunboat 36-hour 125@/per game10-game rounds, 5 simultaneously
Re-post locked thread
josunice (3702 D(S))
21 Mar 14 UTC
Entry: 250@ - pot split 60%/30%/10%
Format: WTA Anon Gunboat 36-hour 125@/per game
Rounds: 10 games per round; 5 simultaneous games, with second set of 5 simultaneous games begun once 3 games are finished. Random country assignments. For 21 players, there will be 3 rounds of 10 games each, for 14 players we will play 2 rounds.
Scoring: 13 for a win, 12/n points for a draw. From each paired flights in a bracket of 14 players, top 3 from each flight advance +1 from the bracket based on overall points.
Available Points Requirement: 875@ at beginning of tourney and 625@ each additional round. If a player does not have enough points to continue, a two week grace period will be given to make the points required available. After which, if unable to cover the game fees, the players' spot is vacated and the entry fee is forfeited. TD will replace the player at an entry of 50% of pot/remaining players if mid round or 100% of pot/remaining players for a new round (plus each game entry). TD will give preference to filling spots with the next few in line from the tournament participants if reachable within a couple of days, and TD reserves the right to lower the entry fee if a replacement is not available within 5 days of a general posting.
NMR/CD: any NMR will result in immediate pause and the TD may remove and replace the player from the tourney as described above. A CD will cause a pause and replacement of the power by the TD as described above.
Pause and cancel votes: Pause and cancel votes are prohibited. Pauses are to be requested direct to the mod email and will always be honored. If the pause is required for more than 10 days by a player combined during a round, a sitter is required and will be determined by the TD. Use of these votes in games will result in one warning and player removal for a second offense.
TD Powers: TD will not have any in game powers. TD will only manage the seating of tournament participants endeavoring to have generally even groups of 7 by Ghost Ratings, and will manage the sitter/replacement process.

RD... a defender of the little guy... except when a tournament pot is at stake <GRIN>... I respect that! Especially since in the first round Guak was allowed to survive one game with one center as England in Belgium, I think... the point that advanced him into the finals... don't want a repeat of that kind of charity!
rdrivera2005 (3533 D(G))
31 Mar 14 UTC
Well, it's not about charity. In the regular games a draw is a draw, so I don't try to eliminate people when the game is a clear draw just to get more points or GR. This tournanent is diferent as you get more points for a smaller draw.
josunice (3702 D(S))

RD, I understand and repect your position on the matter... just kidding around. As discussed in a prior thread, I am inclined to see the thinning of a draw as an added dimension to the game, but honestly respect your position, too.

And I want to thanks Josunice for the great work on this tournament, one of the best I have played here.
josunice (3702 D(S))
30 Apr 14 UTC
Yeah - the solo gives a boost, but he also has had a real solid round of games, having also participated in 3 of the 4 other draws. Probably the winner of the tournament will need to have a solo in this second flight to overtake him... Note, 30% goes to 2nd place in tourney, and 10% to 3rd place, where the field is COMPLETELY wide open... I believe the pot is about 3,750 D.

rdrivera2005 (3533 D(G))
16 May 14 UTC
I really liked this tournament, and will be willing to play again in the next one.
The only suggestion is that maybe we should consider having some rules on the country draws (like, you can´t play more then twice the same country on any round). I didn´t have this problem in this tournament, but have seen in this or on the GB Tournament, and it´s not fair one player having to play 4-Italy (just an example) while other have a better draw.
josunice (3702 D(S))
19 May 14 UTC
I took the approach that with two sets of 5 games, 10 in total, the mix should fall fair enough. I would not want to create work for the Mods (who me?), but would be open to adding a rule for no more than 3 draws of one country out of the 10.
100 percent Italy is the best possible draw! I know lots disagree. But isn't that the point? I like this because of this randomness!

I don't mind if you want a pause in a week. I was just wondering why the games weren't unpaused yet.

We're not who we appear to be: something good, bad, or indifferent?
The anonymity that is inherent in message boards like this and the consequent increased boldness or recklessness with which most of us are apt to behave as compared to how we would behave in our "real" lives leads me to wonder out loud: at what point, if ever, does this presentation of a sort of alternate personality constitute lying? And if it is a form of lying, does it matter?
