CF, you're not going to get 100% consensus on a date or location. Half the people posting are going to flake anyway. You have the various information bits before you to reach a command decision. Just make a call, declare what it is, and people will fall in line. As long as you can get a minimum of one game going, it will be a success. More likely, you'll get 20 people crawling out of the woodwork to inquire within the week before the event if it's too late to join.

Well, if you make it late June in Chicago, you're already 2/7 of the way there with you and Mr. CF. Is 21-22 late enough? Some people might have plans for June 28-July 6 to take advantage of the holiday.

I'm good either weekend, so that's 3. Frank said any summer weekend but June 14, so that's 4. Abgemacht said any weekend but June 7, so that's 5. Draugnar said Chicago is good, just need date confirmation. dippplayer said Chicago is 2nd choice. That could be 6 and 7 right there.

If Yonni will drive 12 hours from Toronto to Nashville, presumably he'd drive much less than that to Chicago (and maybe pick up ILN as a hitchhiker?). Bo could sneak into the trunk at a gas station, so Yonni would unwittingly transport a minor across state lines.

The reason I was going to be able to do Nashville the first weekend in June was because I was going to be there anyways. Considering that I will just be getting back from a week long trip, I'm not sure if I'll be able to head out to Chicago - I'll probably have to play it by ear.
No worries though, Chicago over the 28th seems like it works best for the most people.

Nashville could also work so where is up in the air. But it sounds like June 21st is the probably gonna be the date.

June 21 works for me. Would prefer Chicago, but don't have a strong preference.

Chicago?! You guys are killing me... I've wanted to check out the city of Chicago almost as much as I wanted to check out the city of Boston... Don't think I'll make it, at least I hope I won't, looking like the second time's the charm (knock on wood), the wife's due in late May, and us forty-somethings will have our hands full...

Also, location within Chicago. There's a tradeoff between centrality and pricing. We don't need to be in the Loop, but someplace closer to either airport might be too far out.
