Question about attacks
If I attack and would take a province, but an attack from outside of that province attacks my attacking unit (but not the unit supporting the move) what happens?

looking for a replacement player
http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=117253

Near East just got banned. As you can see by the size of him, his absence will upset the game balance significantly, so any replacement would be welcome.

A question for my Christian chums
If God created everything in the world then presumably he also created the serpent who tempted Eve, right? Why would he do this? Why would he create something to contended with himself and tempt others to disobey God?

I normally don't rant
I really don't normally rant too much on the forum, but seriously. Some players on this site are just plain rude. Ruins the fun of the game.

6 months. $1200 dollars. Fracking Sony!
So my wonderful Sony Vaio T with 256 gig SSD I bought back ar Christmas is saying "No Operating System" and my research says this is a failed SSD drive. I just know it will take them months to get it fixed. I almost wonder if it would be worth just buying a new SSD and doing it myself. Worth the money to not have the downtime. Sony makes great stuff when it works...

Mother Teresa, saint or monster?
So Christopher Hitchens levelled a number of criticisms at her, (which you can read here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_of_Mother_Teresa )

I wonder what do people think? Was her work noble?

I didn't say he was right and factual because he wrote it. He does back up the majority of his arguments yes.

He testified to the Catholic Church during their review process of Mother Teresa's potential beatification.

@Draug, i just giving an example of one of the criticisms sent her way. I think she actually did meet this dictator. It is possible he was a horrible person and Albania suffered greatly under him.

I don't find this particularly unlikely, but that's without looking into it or finding any evidence. Are the claims that she sucked at provided care to the dying also true? I don't know, but it is equally plausible, especially if she was more interested in their souls...

What's the rule?
In a WTA (gunboat) game, how does the 'natural' end go? Does the game end automatically after 1912 Fall adjudication and does the largest player automatically get all points, or only if he/she has 18 SC?

Etherlords II Any interest in playing???
I'm a big fan of this relatively unknown old game. I was wondering if anyone would learn this turn-based strategy game and duel with me. The nice part is that all cards and abilities are available and you don't have to spend extra money or time to get them.

Please let me know.

Secret Agent Man or Snake in the Grass: Opinions on Edward Snowden?
http://news.yahoo.com/edward-snowden-hero-many-young-americans-poll-suggests-173023845.html Two wrongs don't make a right, and to me he divulged information in a very dangerous way and without a regard to how it could affect others (heroes don't generally put friends and family at risk that way.) The NSA being in the wrong and playing the "villain" here doesn't make Snowden a hero in my view...but what say you?

Can you think of a better atmosphere than....?

As far as outdoor events go. I am biased, by far the College World Series has some of the sluttiest, die hard fans you will find anywhere. 8 schools 14 days of Baseball, Beer, Tailgating, and random mofos wandering around.

I was curious if people could come up with some other fantastic outdoor spectacles, maybe not even sports related. I know alot of random people go to the Kentucky Derby, or the georgia vs Florida cocktail party. Whats yours?

The main thing that sucks about this site
I don't care about the maintenance outages. What really pisses me off is that people sign up for a game and can then blow it off with impunity. This has happened in about half of my games in the last six months. When people don't show up, a country adjacent to a no-show wins 90% of the time. Until the site decides to punish people who don't show up, the site will continue to suck.

And Republicans Wonder Why they Keep Losing National Elections...
http://gma.yahoo.com/blogs/abc-blogs/former-miss-america-called-street-walker-local-gop-001954765.html And this person wanted to run AS a Republican--and got called all these things. And apparently she's a graduate of Harvard Law...just saying...hopefully she blows this guy out of the water in 2014, but really--does the GOP not get that angering minorities (and women to boot!) is NOT the way to win an election? We Dems are dumb...but not THAT dumb ;)
