im looking forward to watching this game im currently in the novice one

I was thinking about it and I would actually be fine to learn any position. The main points that I hope to glean from this SoW (namely how to read the map and solo rather than become like the second most powerful person as I have been doing a lot lately) can probably be achieved as any country so surprise me :)

@jgurstein: I would love for someone to teach me the secret to winning on the fly. If winning were so cut and dry, I think many of us would have win percentages in the 80s lol. We TAs can probably teach you a few things that will improve your game but winning is its own creature and looks different game-to-game.

I haven't heard from Cachimbo in a while. I remember when he was a young scrapper on this site wanting to cut his baby teeth with England in a SoW

again, id be fine with any country.

He's moved into the higher class, dancing about town with the likes of MadMarx, but he still tells me he doesn't think he's good enough to help out with SoW.

Do y'all need anything from me in this game, or are you all set on everything?

I'm fairly certain that the students/TAs/professors in this game don't really care about me one way or another. So it would probably be best if it wasn't derailed.

As far as the people who don't think I "measure up" to them or whatever, they are probably right. That doesn't really bother me all that much. I'll keep picking up games where I can and play the ones that look like fun, and once I have more time again, I'll probably play some more gunboat games for fun. I'll also play some variants on Vdip since they look like fun. And if that somehow bothers anyone or makes me less of a player or a person in their eyes, I guess I'll just have to deal with that shit on my own one way or another. :)

Anyhow, I plan on shuffling players and their countries as soon as I get administrative power (or anyone else can do it, jmo for instance since he's a prof for this one) and I will shuffle them as follows:
