This is one of my least favorite things about semi-anon games, which all tourney, and most high pot/GR are.

So how is the meta-gaming aspect then not an issue in anon gunboat tournaments? How come people are not talking about this?!

Because if you play a game normaly by the book it doesn't matter who the players are. If you are Aus for example and you want Ita as ally you wont attack him and ruin your game just because Ita is xy. That's bullshit thinking.

Split, you're too smart to believe that knowing who is behind each country will not influence tournament play.

I'm telling you it wont. At least to me. I don't play names but the powers. Besides who would you metagame with? To me all the six players are the same.

@Lando - Looking back on this thread you said at least twice that you think that someone (me) asking for someone to do commentary is some sort of rules violation. Show me. Show me where me asking for something is a rules violation. I asked. It was said that it was against the rules. My exact response was "I did not know that." Period. So your bringing that particular "violation" is just crap. How about I just go ahead and ask you who is playing each power in the game? If you do tell me, then YOU are breaking the rules. @Split ... So a friend and I go and hold up a bank teller. The friend puts a gun to his face and demand that he give us no money at all. I tell everyone in the bank to get on the ground and pull out their phones and hand them to me. I take them and put them away so nobody can call the police. The friend and I are arrested shortly for armed robbery. We testify in court that we demanded absolutely nothing from the bank. We don't get off innocent - we still committed armed robbery.

@ Bo_sox: Surely it's not a robbery if you don't even try to steal anything? What you describe sounds more like a breach of the peace, possibly combined with a firearms offence.

Jamiet, if you hold up a bank, you are easily within the lines of being accused of robbery. If you choose not to take anything, they might be a little spooked and confused, but it's still an armed offense.

The idea is that Split is going as far as he can without explicitly breaking the rule in the book, but nonetheless, he is doing things that the #1 gunboater knows not to do and is making a fool out of himself over it by continuing to spew random shit in to this thread.

Split - You cheated. Deny it all you want. It just proves your guilt that much more because your own denial includes the evidence that you did. You admit to getting around the press rules. This was a violation of the rules. Plain and simple, you cheated.

Ok. Back to the topic - why the mods are corrupted? Why they didn't punish all the players who cheated in the tournament? And at least 30% of 28 players cheated. At least! I wasn't counting how many of them actualy did it but 10 at least. This thread is about why the mods are selective,this is another instance which prove it.

I am done with this thread. I have let it continued way past reason, but I wanted to give Split his freedom of speech as I would give or want from others. However, Split knows that we do not allow cheating accusations on the forum, and that is why I have now silenced him and this thread.

Just a quick final note. SplitDiplomat your silence will end tomorrow. This thread was silenced for cheating accusations against an entire tournament. Kestas has personally asked SplitDiplomat to have a personal conversation with him to resolve his concerns. If anyone feels there is moderator corruption you are welcome to start a new thread about it, so long as it refrains from cheating accusations.
