Btw I don't like verbosity for it's own sake.
It's not for it's own sake. Explaining yourself helps town figure out what's going on. If you're town, it provides extra perspective and a way to get out of our own tunnel vision. If you're scum, it helps us by giving you more rope to hang yourself with. If you're town and right on reads, it helps convince people that might need convincing. Either way, it's not for it's own sake but for the endgoal of solving the game.
You misunderstand. I agree with fully explained cases ( so far as one can with imperfect information). I do not agree with writing lots of words just to look like you are writing lots of words. Do you understand now?

I read his post the exact opposite way you did. It didn't seem obvious at all to me. Is that somehow alignment indicative?
Maybe, maybe not. It could be read as: "I'm contributing but not actually contributing because I'm talking about his grammar instead of the substance" also it did seem like you were trying to undermine emc. Maybe you just didn't understand what he was saying, which shocks me because it seems you understand what ND is saying.
Some people do get it not everyone is a sadist like you who votes for me each game no matter what.
ND I saved your ass in the last game we played together and you were town. Pls stop

On phone, but I need to say this. Can someone please check my read of bozo from last game (when we were both scum) and put it next to damo's read of bozo here.

Damo, if you are scum with bozo I will have to sue you for copyright.
I can't help it if we think alike.
So you think like I think when I'm scum?
Either alignment I guess.

If you're actually town, then enough with the weird woe is me shit and let's hear what you think about players who aren't voting you. The damo thing was a good start.

Honestly I'd be VERY happy to vote Percy. He seems lost, completely uncomfortable, and waaay different from his normal game.

Can you point where you see this to me? I did a re-read and there is only one post I found scummy (the one Xorxes already pointed). The other ones are mainly jokes and I can't see where he is uncomfortable.

Agree too, Durga is usually a lot more confrontational as town. Of course she could change meta, but I doubt it's the case. Anyway, I don't like her push on ND too, because it's lazy, it's like pushing Brain on D1.
Not quite the same, bomb has a history of acting spastic whereas ND never behaved like this before, I saw him in 2 games and there was never a problem. Something changed with him.
ND and Durga have a historic of confrontations and let's be honest, ND isn't exactly a friendly and sympathetic guy, so it's not only about content. I am not saying he is town, he didn't give content enough to get a town read, I just don't see why people is so sure about him being scum and at least two people (Durga and Patronum) said that it would be a good lynch even if he is town, which is utterly stupid as we only have 3 myslinches.
We have very little information right now about player alignment beyond playstyle, voting patterns, and gut feelings (neither of which are very detailed on D1). There's been some discussion on past play, but that's fairly new to me as a non-forum player. Most of the meta talks in person come out after a few days.

Imo, it's perfectly valid to lynch someone on D1 because their playstyle.

Teacon's whole "I'm a teacher and we need GRAMMAr!!!" thing is a little weird. Emc's post was pretty understandable.

If that's all I'd been doing, I'd agree. But my larger point was about emc's hedgy posts. What does he have to undermine, anyway?

re: ND - I've got a couple guesses as to what he's doing, but I think I need to re-read before I'd say I "understand". My impression is that he's positioning himself as a loud lightning rod to generate reactions (and thus hopefully, information), and trying to point out alignment-indicative habits. (which is... not unlike your criticism of my grammar post, I'd add).

I'd say the schtick is getting old because now people are beginning to orbit around an ND-durga spat, when there's other angles to explore.

@vapor imo we should figure out the d1 lynch before talking about anything else. what do you think of bozo?

@espresso - Discussion of outside meta is clearly allowed, though there's little way for us to verify its truth. What do you think of durga's play so far?
(be honest, it's for science)
She plays a very aggressive town/liberal/village play in most games. That being said, she also has a strong fascist/mad/WW game and has managed to carry teams to victory.

I don't know how she normally plays in forums, but my advice is the same when playing with any experienced player... Never fully trust them unless they've been completely cleared, and watch out for buddying.

I'm sure she can give you guys some insight into my gameplay as well.

What playstyles are worth lynching right?

Also, can you give us insight on durga's meta here on the forum vs. f2f? We're clearly discussing meta from past games. Don't end out of game friendships or anything, but it's a lynching game and if you've got useful insights we'd all benefit.

heh, crosspost. sorry.

What's the difference between an "aggressive" town game vs a "strong" maf game?

This is not scum indicative. 100 percent of the time I'll advocate for a policy lynch of jamiet or brainbomb even if we're both town.

what do the /slashes/ indicate? is that for sarcasm, or quote, or emphasis, or what?
