It would be easier to cite examples if the bot was working. For one, there is this:

I do not like any of those wagons. Then there was a fairly strong town read of Jamie, and what I thought was an early scum read of e.m.c^42. I thought you agreed with Vecna about e.m.c^42, what do you now disagree about?
For example, rather than just disagreeing with the wagons - why do you think Vecna is fine with these wagons? Do you think he scumreads all three? What's his motivation for wanting these wagons? Do you have strong reads on any of these players and why?
I am not sure what these questions are an example of. However, if Vecna is town, I assume he thinks there is at least a chance each of these three are not town. If he is scum, he is agreeing with some obvious lynch candidates. RagingIke and Ezio are basically trying to draw votes.
So you're saying there's a reasonable explanation for Vecna's post as either alignment, yet you specifically cited this post as a reason for your scumread of Vecna.

Again, :?

I do not think I have ever seen Vecna play as scum, so I do not know his scum meta, but I am confident he would try to duplicate his town meta.

Also, of course it is possible for two town to disagree, but I think it is useful to be suspicious of things players say that you do not agree with, since the scum are forced to fabricate things to say.
In that respect, yes. In the respect of basing an entire scumread off of disagreeing - I completely disagree.

So are you saying that you think Vecna's lynch pool is coming across as forced?
On day 1 I think it is as good as anything else to base a read on. I do not like Vecna's lynch pool because I think they are all more likely town.
Guess ill just have to prove you wrong again.

So what wagon do you want?

I think that is a distortion of what I said, I never said anything about how "reasonable" either explanation is. If I did not think there was any possible explanation of Vecna being content with those wagons, I would be sure he is scum, which I obviously am not.

Squigs, Jamie, Percy Williams, worcej, dargorygel, bo_sox would all be OK.

##GM note:. Hey all, I think I understand the bot issue but it's going to take me some time and I can't while at work. I'll be able to do a count in about an hour though from my phone. Also Attorney has been MIA. Direct questions to me. Thank you for your patience.

Lynching Squigs or Jamiet today seems really foolish (and id be really surprised if both arent just town here). The rest I really couldnt care less about, but if you wanna wagon lurkers.....go for it I guess?

Ill be staying put on Damo, and im not sure if ill get to play more before EoD from this point onward.

emc - you get a lot of flak for being wishy-washy, fluffy, or whatever you want to call it. That's how the first read comes off. The second two are really good though. If you focus on more stuff like you're picking up from those bottom two reads, it'll only make you a better player.

As far as read content,

[...snip snip...] his reasoning isn't bad, but don't have any concrete examples right now other than he did scumread me for acting scummy XD (... snip...)
Why do you slight townread him for scumreading you for acting scummy? Obviously it's a bit of a joke based on your XD, but it just pings me a bit. Explain what info you got from acting scummy and people's reactions to that.

Re: Vapor - disagree somewhat. I think it's easy to say that people would want to act differently than they did last time they were scum, but harder in practice to actually act differently. Also, the benefit for scum to push not discussing alien is the easy towncred they get for your exact reasoning. Bit of wifom, sure, but it is something to consider.
Oh, that's helpful, thanks for the advice :D

and for what I get from people's reactions, this might be a bit of a wall (if anyone reads instead of skimming, please point out where the logic is wrong :))

First of all, since it's difficult for me to tell what other people are thinking, (there's a tendency on my part to assume everyone thinks like me xd), it's hard to judge what actions other people are consciously scum reading from, and on who.

Therefore, the easiest way to test is from actions I take myself, since there's one side that's clear. (it's actually something I've been testing more and more since the first game---wanted to see if I could actually vary my behavior and "feeling" lol, as well as seeing how "deep" people read into stuff).

For example, on me here some pay more attention to posting activity/number of posts (Quas, rdr, Squigs), as they pointed out "lack of energy" as a reason, and didn't acknowledge the intentionality (as it seemed too wifom?).

Squigs and rdr also noted the hedging fluff, so content analysis is also a judging point (think they didn't point it out in some others though, hm)

on the contrary, Vapor/xorxes seem to be more interested in tone to judge.

Vecna on the other hand, focuses on considering a mix of syntax, tone and actions--he picked up on an awkward-flowing post early that I don't think anyone else did XD (nice, btw)

the above demonstrates that yes, they've been actually reading/digesting the thread (exception of mia xorxes), as well as how they take wifom-y ness

Darg seems to have not read closely, or was tired, since he's attributed something I didn't do to me lol

Jamie seems to priotitize only actions unless he's trying to do something (with specific wording, etc...)

and so forth, with opinions they've expressed in the past.

From that, I compare what they read in me to what they read in others, and basically look for any discrepancies in level of detail or method XD
or if they've been applying a one-size-fits-all formula

there's also has been this thing when I feel like scum townread me more than town lmfao, but pretty sure it's just paranoia

and Vapor, I did keep a log last game narrowing down time zones/who browses hidden from posting + active browsing times lol
think I also peterbotted the old games and searched for people mentioning time zones/location, as well as work schedule

but haven't had the time to correlate any of it with alignment XD

I actually understand that sentiment, Ezio. If you actually are alien, that is. I played 3rd party in that Amish game a while back. I played what I thought was 100% town-aligned. I can't remember clearly what exactly happened, but when I was on the block I'm pretty sure I claimed ghost at the end hoping to be left alive and help town, but I got strung up. Regardless of whether you're alien or not, I don't think you're a good lynch today.
