Nah, you had no way of knowing N1. Sure, I had docslipped a bit at EoD, but I didn't expect you to catch that. I did docslip repeatedly over the next day as the claims went through though. By that point, it didn't really matter anyway, I suppose. I had done literally the one useful thing I could possibly achieve with my role because of the fun way it was designed.

What pisses me off the most is I'm pretty sure I'm the only town who is mad now. Mad at myself for not catching DrCJG. Mad at you two for not getting on worcej. Mad at myself for not dragging you onto worcej. Mad at yavuz for THAT GODDAM END VOTE.

Lastly, Jamie, if you ever make a game with one doctor and no other PRs and a mafia factional roleblock, please at least let the doctor save the same person on consecutive nights? As it is, the moment I was revealed, I was dead/useless. If I wasn't revealed, all I could do was waste a mafia NK and delay one death by a night.
Fair comment, but technically you were not revealed. They didn't catch you, you claimed.

We didn't know - our original discussion (sharing since idk if the QT will be linked) was actually us saying we'd kill you and RB sheep, but we swapped it right near the end. My previous post was wrong.

To be fair, I was greatly concerned there was a cop based on D1 because I was sure I would be inspected at night and then dead the following day. The realization of a doctor was quite good for us since DrCJG would be under the radar and I was absorbing most of the scum leans instead of him.

Sure, but it meant once I claimed, that was it for me. It made me (possibly excessively) careful on D2, where I squashed a bunch of clever plans that were based around my identity. I couldn't really afford to claim earlier unless I was counterclaiming. If there weren't a roleblock but I still had the consecutive nights thing going, for example, I could have done some fun stuff around that - try and see if I could fake out the mafia on whether I could save myself that night.

Saving teacher2 was enjoyable and rewarding, but in the end, it was a bit of an obvious play, and I felt like all of my PR actions were forced.

Oh, and are we going to get Mafia QT (and if it exists, God QT)? I really am quite curious.

One of the things I was looking out for between D1 and D2 was rapid changes in behavior due to coaching (this was messed up by the substitution a bit). The weird thing is, the main change that occurred there was worcej suddenly looking extremely scummy, which is the reverse of how you expect that behavior change to go.

Well, partly, this is a limitation of having only one Town PR. I did hope we'd have 11 or 12 players rather than the minimum of 9.

Don't stress too much Phil. You played well. DRCJG deserves some credit for seeming so towny. Some of the town players lost focus and tunelled on each other.

I would be interested in the views of Sheep, as an experienced player from another place.

i forgot that day doesnt end with just majority of votes on someone

so town voting town usually means end of game in lylo

and yes the site i usually play on has locked votes in lylo

no that's not "sheep going mental"

In your view, do either of those things improve the standard of play? What is the point of those rules?

Well, it's true. You were being superior as all hell.

For me, I have to say that Mafiascum's mechanics are absurd and harm fun play. I didn't come up with the way we do it here, but why should votes be locked at Lylo? Why does that improve play? Why should town players have to spend the whole night phase banned from talking? How does that make it fun to take part?

Also let's keep this going - why should there be a lynch if the vote is tied? If town can't get their shit together and select a clear lynch target, why is a tie not a reasonable outcome?

Have you ever run a game? Jesus.

I went over to Mafiascum for a time. I believe I played 3 games. One of them was a game with 15 or so players. By D3, there had been 10 substitutes. The standard of play was very poor in all three games, and I was glad to come back here.
