The top 14 players will make the finals.

I'll be doing game scoring out of 420 rather than 35, as it's divisible by every draw size, but yes:
420 for a solo
420/n for an n-way draw

There's a detailed description of how ties will be broken in the opening post of this thread.
Why not just 42 ?? :?

It is a joke. Thank you... Cristal clear.

If 'All countries have entered orders" why does game not progress?

Entering orders and hitting "ready" aren't the same thing.

Alright, with the phishing stuff concluded and all the initial no-shows replaced, every game should be underway. If you still have a game paused without explanation or you think a game was just unpaused in error (already caught one, thanks to the person who reported that), please let me know.

Not sure if I missed it but did you post the seeding anywhere?

First thanks to ghug for organizing the tournament.
Second i would strongly suggest to set the requirement for the reliability rating way higher the next tournaments. I have several games with players not making moves and already got kicked out of the game.

Or just a ‘wait for orders’ like the World Cup. If no response kick em and swap with a sub. Easy enough

Why do games keep getting paused without notice or explanation?

Your TD is suffering from a bout of fuckcomcast, and is thus occasionally skipping messages. Apologies. Those are mostly games in need of replacements, and they should be getting back up to speed this week.

On a related note, if you're interested in subbing, shoot me a message. I'll love you forever even if I don't end up needing you.

BONUS RULE: if a player enters Trieste from Venice in '01, he will be banned from the tournament and from the site.

Thanks, ghug.
Strangely enough, the two solos so far were by Italys that entered Trieste from Venice in '01...

I am only aware of one of them. But that's certainly because Austria abandonned the game that Italy made a solo. If Austria decides to fight and does the job fairly enough the natural outcome is that both Italy and Austria and will be kicked off the game.

That's the most common outcome, but it also depends a lot on what Turkey and Russia are doing.

I do believe that if Austria decides to punish Italy for his misbehavior, the most usual outcome is Austria and Italy dead.

Congrats on your solo. That's pretty funny that we both took solos using the same starting strategy. You had a bit of a smoother time in the balkans than me, though.

An important difference between you two is that you opened to Venice in the spring of 1901, while xorxes opened to Venice in the autumn, presumably because of what he saw on the board (Austria being in Galicia and Rumania and Russia being in Silesia and St. Petersburg).
