I did not "throw" M1014, I tried something that worked out poorly for town which was obviously not my intention.

What was your intention of faking as a PR?

It was a short game, and I was diverting the D1 kill from what I knew to be a town kill to someone who at least had the chance to be mafia (from my point of view).

yeah summit is pretty blatantly town based on just a few posts. Nothing like a good bit of consistency to lock that in, but this appears quite different in terms of courage levels

What is the thing you look for the most when you scum hunt someone?

I tend to focus on mechanics and vca. I tend to find townreading easier and find scum by POE. So day 1 I'm pretty useless. With regard to posting stilted or careful posts are suspicious as is evasiveness.

Okay, follow-up: With your response above in mind, would you say you're more of an observer or a hunter?

Summit was my scumbuddy last game and let's just say he struggled.... No offense, summit. But he hardly had any reads and he lurked like crazy. In the scumchat he was really active and he was obviously paying attention to the game but he was afraid to give any thoughts in the main thread. Here, he's actually stating opinions and contributing to discussion. He's seems much more comfortable.

I'm still rather dizzied by this game--so much text to sift through with only the barest actual commitment to action (i.e. the handful of day votes). Reminds me of spring 1901 of a high roller game. With no real experience of anyone in this chat besides the odd diplomacy game or any voting patterns in this game to go off, I'm approaching it like a hockey ref approaches a scrum--just grab someone who looks like they're causing trouble and punish accordingly (a hockey ref would likely grab one from each team, but roll with me). Tom and Bunny's disagreement has caught my attention, as has summit and bozotheclown. Not nearly enough evidence to make a solid claim that any of these folks are mafia, but enough to votekill, wascally world that we live in.

What does "causing trouble" mean to you? And why did those players catch your attention?

Though I didn't think it plausible at first, Tom might really have been Taz-signaling, and I will be keeping a close eye on his voting record as the game goes on. And the other three have just been throwing large amounts of crap around at various players (perhaps with this I am now joining their ranks, oops). I would prefer a game in which accusations are explained a little more thoroughly instead of kicking up a storm for the hell of it. Also, with all the talk of how bad "lurkers" are, there has got to be some really loudmouth scum out there.
