284 AD Diocletian rises as emperor, he reforms the commanding structure of the empire and soon starts the most violent purge against Christians.

Say something about the number, not simply quote it.

According to numeroscop.net 287 has the following meaning:
“287=2+8+7=17, 1+7=8
If you see angel number 287, the message relates to the field of money and work and says that It is worthy of respect if you managed to find yourself in work and are putting your heart and soul into it. This is the basis of a well-being not only on the material but also on any other level of life. Continue to improve your skills so that the Universe could notice your efforts and appreciate them. Then the well-deserved reward will not pass you by.”

If thats not good enough Saint Sebastian was martyred in 287AD after yelling at the Emperor Diocletian for his persecution of Christians

288 is a Harshad number in base 10. Also, I'm pissed because I arrived too late here to write a perfect number (By mathematical definition) and now I have to wait until 496.

More interestingly 288 is the lowest superfactorial where one of its factorial divisors is the factorial of a composite number.
