Wait, so... does that mean I get to replay my games? :-D If not that's okay, but I would like a second chance...

If it's not too late, put me in the game coach. ***Will submit formal application once I figure out the right countries to pick***

Three games are over: managed to solo as Turkey quite easily and as France in the most stressful game I have played in a while and bafflingly got crushed as Italy which was my easiest country to play in practice.

@bo: the names in my games are 3 and 4 instead of 2 and 3 because game two was not starting so I left it before it began.

If there are any details like that I need to know, please send me a PM.

To those asking for clarification, you can reply games you finished prior to this update if you choose. You cannot reply games that were not finished prior to this update.

That's odd, as they were played with the old bots.

Some updates have been made to the bot to try and enhance its unpredictability in certain scenarios. If you have played your first three games and want to replay them with these changes, you are free to do so as long as you please simply PM me the URLs to your three new games.

Remember that this tournament is intended for all of us to get to know the bots and to have fun playing them, not just to crown a champion. But we'll do that too.
Is it an all-or-nothing? Or can we selectively replay?

I think they shouldn't allow it at all. It's unfair already to allow people to replay for any reason.

Allowing replays really spoils the tournament. I get that you want to beta test, but you could do that with a subsequent tournament.

Replay all or replay none. Sorry if that was unclear. You cannot simply replay the games that didn’t go well and leave the ones that did lol

The settings of the bot have changed, and it would be unfair to force some people to play their games with different controls handling the bots. That is why the games can be replayed. I would prefer it if everyone does replay their games that occurred before that change, but it would be unfair to ask some people who may not have time to do so. As such, my happy medium is to make it your choice as to replay games that finished before these changes took place. And, like I said previously, the purpose of this tournament is to enjoy playing against the AI and help us sort out any inefficiencies so that we can better their gameplay, not to put on our “I demand justice” hats and freak out because something is slightly different than it was expected to be.

Realistically they're not going to put the bot update on hold for one trial tournament, and forcibly restarting would suck. Seems like the best compromise to a latecoming outsider with no dog in the fight yet :^)

Not demanded my justice at all, just expressing my opinion. Your clarification sounds more fair.

I wonder if it's worth it to replay if my initial result is 2 solos and 1 defeat...

Not sure if this is an intended update with the bots, but Turkey was able to solo once and could've soloed if the bot didn't take the draw because later in the game, the bots go all in on one-direction (in these cases west) without any regard for defending themselves from behind.

Do you recon my 2 solos and a 0SC survive put me above you in the ranking?

Initial tiebreakers will be the number of solos per round, and secondary tiebreakers will be your most recent overall GR.
I'm going to assume Chaqa has a better GR, but I didn't look it up.

Three solos on the trigger (FIT). Without replay. Just have to ready them three. But damn. Only now I realize I didn't name the games as requested. I just read the *public* rules, was so eager to play that created game without reading the PM carefully. I will not replay... please consider, Bo?

My word. I've played five tournament games so far, and four of them have been the worst four games I've played against the bots. Maybe I'm just not consistently good enough... Oh well. Congrats to everyone who makes the cut.
