House damaged and family terrified because federal agents can't check where to go. Imagine if he had been black because he had a gun.

This is sadder because it happens quite often because agents don't take the time to verify information. Close enough is considered acceptable behavior as they have taken down senior citizens and people that don't match the suspects' descriptions.

Off duty police officer enters someone else's apartment and shoots him dead because she thinks it was her own. While the evidence is being gathered, I want to know how she broke into the wrong apartment. It's really unlikely they had the same key and why didn't she notice it was the wrong apartment number.

It's really sad that a black man dies in his own apartment for doing nothing. There wasn't a police call to come there or any complaint. No mention of a weapon or why a gun was drawn and fired.

Not surprising, but still very awful

random, you always lead with the 'black vs white' thing. It is tiresome, and so one-sided, it is hard to take you serious.

The last three times this happened in Atlanta (wrong house) it was old white people getting dead.

Is it more important when a black person dies, or when the police enter the wrong house? I am having a difficult time wading thru what you value here.

The initial stories didn't mention the race of the victim. But there have been several major stories where when white people acted in highly aggressive and illegal ways, they weren't shot first and call and ambulance much later.

In the cases you mention, police were told they were going to arrest criminal suspects with violent offenses. They were primed to shoot first.

About three years ago, several white men wearing kevlar vests and carrying rifles entered a major city police station and were talked down. I can't imagine if they were black that the same thing would have happened.
