Aetna Review? Big deal? Yes or no?

Google it, a former medical practitioner with Aetna admitted while under oath that at no point did review or consult customer medical records when determining approval of medical coverage.

It's a big deal in denying coverage that people paid for and need. It's not unexpected because that's how a company gets rich.

Although my insurance company routinely paid claims until informed that in at least one case the doctor never did any work for his bills and billed for an office visit on his day off. The insurer then refused all payments to the hospital until they sent copies of the entire hospitalization record to prove work was done.
