How is the Notes tab different from the Global chat? I've never used the Notes one...

So far as I'm aware, you can only see your own notes.

I'm not sure but I suspect that notes exists to make the coding simpler .

I have used it in to record my DMZs/agreement deadlines - but I don't tend to use it now.

Global chat: Everyone sees this.

Notes: Only you see this.
You can use these for anything, such as reminding yourself of things and starting your End of Game speech. I never use the Notes though..

If I take over a CD, I put in an Note regarding what point in the game I took it over. This also makes it fairly easy to see which games I started and which I took over. ( you would think I'd remember but often I don't)

I only usually use Notes to remind myself that Claesar used to put things in notes, but doesn't anymore.
