Is there a way to not randomly assign countries?
Trying to play a private game with friends, is it an option so that everyone can pick their own country?

I don't think there's one on this site, but if you go over to vDiplomacy, they have that option.

If it's a private game you can email the mods and request to have countries assigned that way
