I’ll be off and on until one hour before deadline. Then I have a work session that goes an hour but I can likely sneak out right before deadline. But if you have concerns/questions get them out soon. I’d rather not die.

I think he was still hoping for a last minute shift in opinion, why else out that he had the hammer?
Even if he was apologizing to his team, I don't get how it follows that they were voting for him.
