I don't believe scum would claim his actual item. I expect him to claim a protective v item, either to escape lynch or to get a counter claim.
But maybe it was a good play as I almost changed my vote. I still think Ghug could be scum, the ND make no sense what info this would give to town? And Ghug was never a "let's lynch a lurker" player.

It looks like Durga is claiming more to get info and less because she actually has a cannon. Although I could be wrong. I hope she really doesn't have the cannon though, because that gives mafia info. I do think a potential cannon vote might be useful even if the cannon holder doesn't shoot, which I don't think they should.

If the repair kit holder is scum they will do whatever is best for scum, so our advice is pointless.

If they are town, they are probably better off getting a clear or a guilty than a gun, even if the rest of town doesn't believe them. A guilty would of course be immediately provable, and a clear would be proved once we lynch them.

If they get a gun, they are more likely to end up shooting a townie than a scum.
