##Proposal 9.1: Hire Yukolnis as a specialist, and take in his fellow winter elves

##Proposal 9.2.1: Trigger an industrial boom

##Proposal 9.2.2: Trigger an enlightenment age

##Proposal 9.2.3: Trigger a golden age

The lvl 9 mage seems extremely usefull, and its already given us two artifacts. The additional 100 people they bring makes this seem like a no brainer to me, and id probably fire any specialist we currently have just to make space for them if we dont have space atm.

Not really sure which of the three reward options is the best. The golden age seems the least useful, but even pushing all those stats up a ton will definitely pay off with upcoming events, getting closer to our religion, getting more magic etc.

Industrial boom, the extra wood, stone and gold will allow us to spam a lot of spires, that will continue to generate a lot of bonus materials for the rest of the game, and faith/magic as well.

Research is useful, but remember im giving us free techs every 5 phases already, and we actually need resources to be able to use whatever we unlock.

Also, its still far in the future, but at lvl 4 and lvl 5 magic research, all our spires will start counting as watchtowers and tesla coils, and actually fight against enemies. Pretty cool to have a ton of those guarding our walls

I personally cannot see any reason not to bring Yukolnis on board. If there are any Councillors with concerns about his intentions, I could always attempt to detect evil on him before we officially accept his offer?

##Vote Yea - Proposal 10.1

I agree that we are not in desperate need for speedy research, if we find ourselves without the resources to actually build what we unlock (also bearing in mind that we will receive a free tech soon from Broadmoor). I would be inclined to suggest that the industry boost makes a great deal of sense alongside our spire-spamming tactic.

##Vote Yea - Proposal 10.2.1

Wortuine
Spring 326

In the Prison.

(Yulish and Herbert are in chains. A guard unlocks their cell)

Herbert: Sir, I am a Kingsguard. Please, the King is-

Guard: (Familiar Voice) I know hes dead. you didnt guard the king very well. Follow me. Unless you like being in prison.

(Yulish is half asleep, the guard takes the two men to a courtyard, and along the way are 7 dead guards)

Herbert: What the hell?

(He removes his helm, to reveal himself as Olebew)

Olebew: I hope you gentlemen dont mind getting dirty.

(Opens a sewer grate)

Herbert: Yulish, hes... hes freeing us!

Olebew: Its a 3 mile crawl, empties into the Rodoripol River. Take it and avoid all sentries.

Herbert: We could use your help!

Olebew: You dont want to go where I am going. I have business in Underdark. I could use the help but I cant ask you to risk your lives for my sake.

Herbert: Yulish... what should we do?

Decision Yulish
A. Go with Herbert and flee back to Caelfell
B. Go with Olebew into Underdark

Mimot: Duergar... Scorpion Men and Minotaurs? The people will not join you!

Sapphire Knight: The people can all die if they will not join our King. Including your people....

I think we should really consider choosing golden age, since our health is at 50% and decreasing, and our morale isn't that great either. I will defer to the rest of the part on that one though.

##Give UTHWICK an extra action so he can fastbuild the road so we get more wood next phase.

##Proposal 10.3 VOTE YAY

##Proposal 10.4 VOTE YAY

##Proposal 10.5 VOTE YAY

##Proposal 10.8 VOTE YAY

## Proposal 10.2.3 Vote yay to GOLDEN AGE

(Im thinking about retracting the industrial boom/research proposals, since what Warlegend is saying makes a lot of sense. Also, we can get extra resources a lot easier than getting our morale and health up, and if they get too low we'd need to invest a lot of our other stuff to get it back up again, so actually going for the golden age makes a lot of sense, since it gives a lot of usefull stuff regardless).

##Proposal 10.6.2 Instead use 15 magic to sent weather-proof doves to the elves and Thamrickius (or w/e his name, the bastard) informing ONLY THEM of Rathaniums survival, and ask them to side with us against the other 2 usurpers. Inform the elves we have the winter elves on our side, and maybe even sent Andoryn to convene with the elves later on?

##Proposal 10.8.0: WORKER ALLOCATION
So, a few thoughts. I like the look of Avendi's worker allocation and will be happy to support it. Given that it is dependent on proposals 4 and 5 passing, I shall also support those two.

##Vote Yea - Proposals 10.4, 10.5 and 10.8

Regarding what we should do about Rethanin, I have to say that both suggestions make a degree of sense to me and I cannot vote between them. I will honour the decision of the Council - whatever it is (and if you decide that it might be valuable for me to journey to parley with the elves, then I will of course do so).

If we do decide to announce that he is alive to anyone else, then I do not think there is much value in not announcing it to everyone (sorry, Broadmoor). In any case, doves can easily be intercepted, which would mean we would risk informing the wrong people if we did decide that we only wanted to inform some.

##Vote Nay - Proposal 10.6.2

It seems clear that we are in fairly dire need of food. As such, I can see no reason not to use some of our magic on that - particularly if we also decide (as seems to be the general consensus at the moment) to opt for the Golden Age, rather than the industry boost (on which point I will also be changing my vote).

##Vote Yea - Proposal 10.7 and 10.2.3
##Vote Nay - Proposal 10.2.1

As for the Research proposal for this phase, I do not know where the suggestion that we will get more specialists comes from, but given that we have lost Olebew as a specialist and most of the rest of them seem to die or disappear within seconds of joining us, I'd be inclined to suggest that having more than our current 4 slots is overkill.

Instead, I suggest that we research Artesian Wells, to increase our food quota by being able to build an aqueduct.

##Proposal 10.3.1 - Research Artesian Wells

Though in the Underdark a man of the cloth would be in double danger I feel in debt to Olebew. I will go with him and hopefully then return to our barony alive.

##VOTE YEA Prop. 10.1
##VOTE YEA Prop. 10.2.3
##VOTE NAY Prop. 10.2.1, 10.2.2

We are going to be quite wealthy on basic resources once we can get rid of winter as both wood and stone will be in abundance and farming, hunting, and fishing will be very profitable with magic. We’ll also have spires creating more resources.

##VOTE YEA Prop. 10.3

We’ll probably need to start raising an army soon, so we should focus on this avenue regardless of specialist spots.

##Prop 10.9.0: Have M use her spy network to figure out what Agni/Lord Narmor are doing

##Prop 10.10.0: Have Lord young.... do something like use his skills to bunker down our defenses against spies of other colonies to make sure news of Rethanian doesn't get out, or any assassination attempts are foiled.

On the path to Wortuine - Spring 326
Olebew’s Recollections

Not long ago I knew my place in life, and I was happy. I was different from almost all other Drow. Then my sister, Devlondia Yetzanul, died and everything changed.

Something wars within me, on one end the need to stay as far away from my people as possible, on the other a desire to return to them to show them the errors of their ways. I feel that I can never be content now knowing that through my inaction, my people continue to cause great harm. Therefore I have chosen the path more difficult, I have decided to return home.

Before I go, I still have one task to complete. I have left my friend behind, betraying her trust in me, and taking the Dragon Eggs that we have so recently discovered. Where they were being hid was not safe, and I have decided to relocate them to somewhere far far better. I head now to Wortuine, to rescue some of the people I feel might help Avendi and the others that I left behind, and in part to prove that I am still on the side of good. That shall be the easy part. I know the darkness, where to hide, how to kill. I have chosen to focus my skills in other ways, but I can never truly forget my roots. They shall be rescued and I shall continue on my path, alone.

Long ago I was a Drow Captain, I was trusted to lead Drow Scouts in battle, trusted to defend my Underdark Home from all threats, trusted to make the hard decisions. I was good at it, but I never enjoyed it. I found myself taking every mission that would lead me as far away from my home as possible, so that I would not have to deal with the intrigue and politics, the infighting, and the murder.

When I was born, my house was the 11th most powerful. We were important enough, and strong enough, to hold our place in the pecking order of Drow society, but for my mother it was never enough. By the time I had finished my Drow schooling in the Arts of War, we were 5th. By the time I had proven myself as a Drow Scout, and had been given my own troop to command we were 3rd. By the time I decided to leave we were 2nd. By now I imagine she had solidified her place at the top, and perhaps she has heard too that Devlondia is dead.

My sister and I were the youngest in our family, the third born daughter and the third born son. In my mother's quest for power, we lost the eldest daughter, and both of my elder brothers. I was the head son, the only son now, and she was the one ever plotting to betray her sister and gain that prized position as next in line for our house.

Now I find it is time for me to return, I expect my house will have established dominance as head house, and I will have perhaps only my mother and sister to deal with, before I can take over my house and change its ways. It has been done before, once or twice, a male gaining power. It is not something I suspect I will enjoy, but it is something that I shall be very good at.

Avendi, I suspect by now you will have found this. I wrote this in part as an apology, and a way for me to explain and clear the chaotic thoughts in my head. An apology for lying, an apology for acting impulsively and not explaining myself to you in person. You have already found one of my past recollections, I made sure that you would. You know that I wrote I first left the Underdark some 50 cycles ago. That was a lie. I have been above for much longer than that. I had hoped that perhaps I could lie to myself, make it seem as if I was far more innocent than I really am, and perhaps that might change things. It did not.

Avendi, it was I that stole you and your brother away from your family. I was paid good money for it, and I hadn’t truly wished to remember the truth until your brothers death brought it to back to the fray of my mind. Had I not kidnapped you, I imagine he would still be alive, and you and he would be enjoying the childhood that you both rightfully deserved. Instead, due to me, he is dead and you are in the North fighting Dragons and Giants.

I am sorry.

Please, I know that you will wish to follow me, to ensure the Dragon Eggs are safe and to hear these words from my own lips. I implore you, for your sake and mine, do not! I go into a pit of liars and deceivers attempting to make them good, I will more than likely fail and when I do I will be killed. I can not bear to think that I will be putting your life at risk as well! Leave me to my own choices, life your own life which I have already stolen enough of from you. It is best that you consider me already dead.

Goodbye Avendi.
