##GM Note

I think you're interpreting BB/Emilau's words too literally Jamie, though I understand the frustration.

The game will not move out of the signup/phase 0 phase until the scheduled date of July 3rd in honor of King Thamrick's nameday (it actually is my birthday :-D), unless a majority of players vote to ##END phase 0.

BB was quoting a post that was correct at the time it was posted, but is since outdated. If you want a (reasonably) up to date vote tracker, you can follow the google spreadsheet here:

##GM Note

Lord Young is available as a specialist, he has not yet offered himself up to the party as one, but within the next few days it is possible that he does so, especially if asked to by a player.

Lord Pavel 'Alfonso The Just' Young (Human, Male, King's Lord) Each phase Lord Young adds +1 pop and +1 luxury Art. He has many connections as a loyal supporter of King Thamrick. (Passive Traits: Secret) Atk 1 Def 3

##VOTE that we bring GROGG the half orc with us.
##VOTE that we bring Lord Young with us.
And if both of the p0.2.1 and p0.2.2 passes at once, what will happen?

Attention, fellow would-be colonists.

I have laid out in some detail, in Thamrick's Keep yesterday, the reasons why we should not go to Esfillied. Please, think seriously about changing your votes. We would be foolish to settle in such a dangerous locale. Even the King agrees with the points I have made. If you do not, please discuss it with me as soon as you are able.

Until I see a convincing evidence I won't change my vote.

Have you not seen the evidence that I presented in the Keep? The evidence from Jartoum's records?

Emilau: I have some findings from the Elven Historical Society.

-Moonwine river is not a safe transport route to the sea, multiple waterfalls, the river literally spills off a cliff into the sea.

-Is named after a wood elven witch who went crazy and turned herself into a monster. An ancient fable.

-Rampant growth makes land clearance take x2 normal time on dark forest tiles. Tiles farmed in dark tiles yield double also.

-the areas around 36,16 are highly abundant in wildlife, hunting will likely be a very lucrative food option.

-remoteness and forest density will hinder roads, iron, stone, and farming.

There are more negatives there than positives.

What about defensive positions? In times such as ours with turmoil and enemies both foreign and domestic, our defence is something to consider.

You are worried about turmoil and defence, and yet you want to go set up a colony in the middle of a dense forest surrounded by Drow, William?

Emilau:

Drow are reportedly most prevalent in regions along Silde border at the forests edge.

It is unknown if Drow reside deeper in Esfillied at this time

Emilau: Councillors, Darvish is perhaps overly concerned but I somewhat concerned as well. Surely a coastal location in Esfillied would be wiser for trade

I proposed elves as part of our population to help with the living conditions in the woods and surely if there are drow they will know how to deal with them. A wooded area is more defensible than plains especially until the time we can build walls.
