So,
Should I not peak my nametag then? Vashta sounds logical.
Also a question: Does the gun holder know himself?
Yes, that has been answered - the person with the "Guak" gun already knows they have a gun.

Vote count please?

Has anyone other than me actually cast a valid vote?

@Vashta: When you said "anyone who is in favor of this idea", what idea were you referring to? yavuzovic and I said the exact opposite thing about what we think the player with the "fated gun" should do.
Oh I think that if you support shooting the gun you are suspect, I misread your post though. Seems I missed nesdunk supporting it as well.

Did I vote for any of them ghug? Did I? The answer is no, because process opinions can weigh in on scumreads, but are not the determinative factor.

Bo has been mafia the past two games, so I'm not sure if terse and recalcitrant is his mafia play or his play in general... ##Vote Bo_sox

I actually like both of the other votes on this page tbh.

Not voting just means you're a coward who doesn't want to tie his name to things, Vash. Excusing it like that is just dishonest. It's not like anyone else is voting with strong convictions at this point in the game.

Terse and recalcitrant is bo's life, Fox.

I am still undecided who to lynch.
Vashta looks unstable. Maybe him.
And this heart says vote ghug, maybe it isn't lying now.
Mah, I am not stable too, I can't blame Vashta.
I will keep waiting.

I wrote that before the bo vote and forgot to change it when Fox's post popped up. I like the Jamie and Snowy votes. (omg ghug how can you like the snowy vote when you like the vote on the guy who made it??!1/?11/11?elevenonehundredandelevenths?!?)

I have no read on bo yet. I just think his being the worst is a subpar reason for scumreading him--especially when his worstness usually yields so many legitimate ones when he does roll scum--and I'm happy to share that with someone who's asking about his meta.

Okay, so I'm caught up on this game. Two main thoughts re: mechanics.

First, re: nametags. No one should peek at their nametags, the best thing to do is wait a couple days, until the numbers are lower, and have everyone peek AND claim. This will reveal who bo sox is, but at that point we likely get a confirmed town when we need it most, sure maybe it reveals a PR, but I'm willing to take the risk at that point.

Re: Gun Holder
First off, guns are bad, they rarely ever kill mafia and only catch mafia when they choose to shoot someone who is obv town, and they cause a bunch of confusion while stifling discussion. Since the guak gun reveals the shooter and flavor names are revealed upon death, we will know when this gun is fired aside from a statistical anomaly. As such I think we should all agree that if someone fires this gun, they are likely scum or stupid, and should therefore lynch them.
I'm not talking about not firing today, to be clear. I'm talking about NEVER firing that gun if you have it, so don't.

Further more, I think anyone who is in favor of this idea (Ezio, bozo and yavuz upon first skimming) are suspect. Not a guarantee of being mafia, but I think it certainly increases the chances they are, since it gives plausible deniability to likely kill a townie.
I think I agree on both counts )peeking and guakgun) but I'm not giving you many townie points for this because giving sound advice on mechanics is a typical way for mafia to try to get towncred, and also someone else (I think ghug) had already said the same thing on holding the shot.

Do you really think yavuz is suspect for this though? You are saying he figured out that shooting now is better for mafia and then tried to influence the gun holder to shoot? That's ludicrous. Mafia never blatantly advocate for actions that they think are anti-town. And yavu's town meta is that he always sounds scummy no matter what he says anyway. He is always an easy wagon.

@yavu: have you been Mafia in any previous game?

Sorry for lurking a bit. And this weekend I will probably lurk again, too many things to do. Anyway, today I am around.

I know I have complained about discussing mechanics, but I have to say that I think not shooting the gun at start is the best for town. The tags tend to end in PRs or Mafia so it can be useful later to have the gun around. If Mafia end with the gun they will also not be so eager to shoot as the shooter will be revealed and also because they won't know who is Ezio (I don't believe Mafia will risk to peek unless BO tag is dead).

On the other side, I didn't get bad vibes from Bozo, something weird :-) and I think Fox questioning style a bit off. And Durga is probably town, she isn't irritated.
rd, 95% of your posts start by explaining why you have been lurking or why you will be lurking.

What do you find off about Fox? He seems pretty townie to me so far.

I have read them as much as time permitted, not as closely as I try to read when I play, but more closely than some of the people participating.
