Forgot to thank @Tom for providing an alphabetical list of players. All the best GMs should do this. I note he still calls this a 21 ‘man’ game. But I know he is trying.
So are you Maniac!

GM NOTE:

The bot does seem to have an error. I will try to contact peter. There does not seem to be anything clearly wrong in the settings. My guess is that it has to do with the year flipping from 2020 to 2021.

Will provide vote count shortly

I don't think I can begin my valued document/spreadsheet until after the D1 kill. I just haven't read anything yet that screams or whispers, "I'm scum" from anyone.

Hello friends. I see that the Peterbot is suffering from the Y2K bug. I also see from the VC that not a huge amount has moved in the votes. I'm not sure how many pages I have to catch up on, but I shall endeavour to do so in the next few hours.

Elaborate on the Eden scumread?
Mainly the fact that Eden had a big post at first then later claimed he was bored. It is weak, but it seems his tone varies a lot looking through his posts.
got distracted by game
big is a bad word to use as in he seemed excited, the tone seems to shift, but I have not played with eden before. Something about him and ghug though makes me think there is a scum there
This post, and the ones immediately before it at the start of this exchange, seem pretty towny from Donny - coming from a town mindset, I feel.

##CALLGM can you modkill Bunny for lying about GM communications?
I don't remember who I was voting before but ##VOTE ghug, this is actually insane.
Huh?

You don't remember you were voting for me, but you just happen to want to do it anyway because I'm tired of people trying to cheapen the game by breaking the rules with this sort of bullshit?
President Eden has generally struck me as a meticulous thinker who notices details and has a good memory.

I also think it is surprising that he "forgot" he was voting for Ghug and then put a re-vote on Ghug again.

By this logic, no one can ever claim a role or scan results, etc. since it's known via Gm communication.

You can 100% claim any information given in your role PM.
Are you kidding
If the GM sends a flavor name it should be 100% allowed to share it, yes.
But if the GM does not send flavour names to anyone, and you lie by claiming that your Role PM did contain a flavour name, is that kind of lie something that's in the spirit of the game?

I say it most certainly is not - because you're effectively claiming the GM has fucked up (because to send flavour names to some people, but not everyone, would very much be a serious fuck-up).

I'll come out and state for the record that my Role PM did not contain a flavour name. So effectively what BunnyGo did here was to strongly imply that Tom Bombadil had fucked up with the Role PMs. Bunny then immediately tried to leverage this implication to draw a reaction from Ghug (and potentially others, I guess). He's getting a reaction from me, for sure. Bringing GM communications into the game in this way, specifically in the form of lying about information the GM has not actually sent you drags the GM into the game in a way that is not supposed to happen and is contrary to the spirit of the game. It's also absolutely not the same as claiming (or even fake-claiming) a scan result or whatever.

I guess you weren't around for the game that nearly got ruined twice because of people exploiting sloppy PMs, or the game immediately after it where the GMs from the first game tried to break the game the same way as players.

^ that happened and I'm tired of it. There's a rule against sharing GM communications. The rule can't be internally consistent unless lies Annie GM communications are also illegal. Let's start enforcing.
Pres Eden understands my position on this: the GMs are doing us a favor and facilitating us to play a game. The scum team are doing us a favor and providing us a hunt. The rest of us get to play. And we get to play by the rules. The rules both explicit and implicit have always been that sharing my character name was acceptable and asking you a stupid question repeatedly until you were turned around was acceptable. I and others have now learned things from this. Maybe they've learned something about me.

Maybe we've all learned something about ourselves.

Hope you have a happy 2021.
Sharing your character name would be acceptable if the GM had sent everyone a character name. The GM did not do this, and therefore what you actually did was to lie about your PMs from the GM in a manner which is extremely distasteful.

Your unrepentant attitude to this is teaching us something about you, for sure.

is aarodactyl still obv-scum?
I dislike this so much.

Why is aaro obv-scum with no mechanical information available? Either he said something really egregious or you're assuming that he is obv-scum until proven otherwise. I don't think he's said anything particularly bad, certainly nothing I would obv-scum him for. I think that assuming obv-scum until proven otherwise is a very bad mindset, not at all like town vecna last game, and begs the question why you're singling out aaro.

You have voiced a dislike of a single aaro post thus far saying that it felt forced and not sufficiently analytical. Are you obv-scumming him off that post alone? Please tell me what you're seeing here because I'm just not seeing it.

Lastly, I think your expectation that town aaro would be particularly analytical D1 is setting yourself up for disappointment. Aaro was widely townread last game because of his behavior D3 when he had more mechanical information to work with. For the first two days, when he was largely/only working off reads he did rather poorly imo.
I like this post from Celaph.

Town points.

Oh look! A reads list! How very old-fashioned!

Anyway, my current thinking:

Scumleans

BunnyGo
Maniac
Bozotheclown
President Eden

Townleans

Donny
Ghug
Celaph
Durga

I'm not sure about Brainbomb yet which is odd because I've battled him so often that I usually have a read on him by later in D1. The good news is Brainbomb often slips as scum, so we might just need to wait until he does that.

Been reading bot logs and crash reports. After making a qualified guess of what the problem was, I installed a patch named "Attempt to fix rare stat crash". Hopefully it stays up for a while now. :eyeroll:
