We deadass would have won if I had lived D1. I don’t think Durga could 500 IQ read me as cop and there’s no way I get nightkilled because I’m basically a free wagon for pissing everyone off D1. And I planned to scan gold n1 who just happened to not be a death miller

Fucking hell ghug

This is on you
No it's decidedly on bozo.
D1 antics regardless. You were the one at LYLO that could've made a difference, but you just have tunnel vision on me. This was my first ever town game. I had no clue what I was doing. HB is HB (feel fucking prescient for saying D1 he would be a liability at LYLO). You were the competent town who had to sort things through at LYLO.

And, importantly, I get down on my knees and beg humble forgiveness for saying bozo is good at this game
I straight up said after Yoyo died that I wasn't going to bother considering bozo as town, and I wouldn't feel bad if we lost because of it. When there isn't 100% information, you kinda have to take things that are very probable on faith. I'm sorry I misread you again and I'm sorry I backed off Durga after I got the scent, but we were never going to win this game because bozo is a fool, and I can live with that.

Moral of the story: if you’re vanilla town, play your role and don’t get cute, unless you have an advanced knowledge of how the setup works

I still think bozo is a good player, I just think his strategy was misguided here

For some reason, a bunch of people here think being a VT means you need to fake claim PR’s and force tie votes to live...

Seconded.

He stated his logic in the GT and I see how he thought it, but definitely was not a smart play.

Bozo is amazing at analyzing and figuring out the later game.

The cop was not likely to be helpful in this setup, and I gave town a second chance to kill a scum on D1 after it was apparent the first decision was to kill me. Town should not have participated in hammering D2, and should not have assumed I was mafia when there was a 3/5 chance I was a miller. Town had 3 chances to kill a mafia and failed 3 times, whether I was killed first or second was not that important.

Also, the closest town came to having a chance to win was when the kill was almost diverted to damo after I claimed cop. I did make a big mistake not switching my vote to damo.

I remain baffled that I've come back to find this is a common opinion.

I think the bigger problem with fakeclaiming cop is what happens if he doesn't get daykilled

The real cop probably doesn't cc at night, but the doc will be on Bozo, and the scum therefore have an improved chance of killing the real cop when they're doc-hunting. There's no way it draws the night-kill, because the scum have no RB, so even in a best case scenario it increases the chance of an early PR death.

That’s not your call to make. You literally ruined the game for me because you thought I couldn’t make use of my role. In fact I 100% could have, and would had you not done that. The fact that you’re trying to stave off responsibility for ruining this game makes you seem like a huge douchebag in my eyes.

One game playing an unfortunate strategy doesn't make a bad player.

Obviously I would not have fake cop claimed if I knew or suspected Yoyoyozo was the real cop. I also would not have done it if Yoyoyozo was not my top scum read. If Yoyoyozo had flipped anything but cop, I would have immediately retracted my claim.

Honestly I was fine with just calling out the terrible strategy if he had just owned up to him being a major part in the outcome of this game. But you just saw that he’s like totally content with making this all of towns fault because got the cop killed and said that the towns highest chances of winning was after he claimed cop.

Yeah, that’s because it was right before you got the real cop mob killed, genius.

I feel like an immediate retraction still makes it clear that A) You're not the Doc, and B) the doc probably still saves you because it'd be sensible cop move too, so PR Death chances are increased regardless.

I take my share of the responsibility for the town loss. Also, I ruined the game for you not because I thought you couldn't make use of the cop role, but because I thought you were scum and I knew I was town.

Well I've played with him many times and his late game analysis is very good.
