Hm, after looking through it again, I stand corrected. So for N1 I don't see any discernable mechanics benefit from keeping RB and NK together (other than to create a cover for one of their own). Neo being activated would give mafia their only mechanics reason to RB and kill same target (to get through JOAT bulletproof). If the JOAT was alive and active I'd imagine they'd keep the RB and NK together. Perhaps my language was imprecise but I don't see the issue here. I appreciate you think it is either a townslip or a fake one, but I don't think it's either. Though there is technically no cop there is an oracle(s) that can look for the chosen one and we know what the Neb/Mason thought it found. The rest of my point made in that paragraph still stands. Damo thought he found Cypher but mafia knows that the Demon wasn't one of them so they were free to follow happily knowing they could justify their vote easily, avoid saying anything that could be a slip, and that we would be exactly where we are now: having killed a VT/the fake Chosen One.
