Xi of Qi died. Similar to 'Duke' he reigned Qi for 64 years. Poems would be written about him if Chinese Poetry cared about rhymes. But at LEAST some sort of song from the 1950's should have been composed.

699 Article 699 of the Greek Civil Code states that: If due to a defect in the material provided by the employer or due to the manner he has assigned for execution, the project was destroyed or deteriorated prior to delivery or became impossible to perform, the contractor is entitled if he drew the employer's attention to it in time. these risks require remuneration for the work performed and reimbursement of expenses not included in the remuneration. Further liability of the employer due to his fault is not excluded.

700 years ago Dante Alighieri died, in exile

Godi, Fiorenza, poi che se' sí grande,
che per mare e per terra batti l'ali,
e per lo 'nferno tuo nome si spande!

I am not sure what I really think about this "x number of years ago" trend... but I will use it anyway, and continue wusti's important theme:

702 years ago, The Battle of Myton, sometimes called The White Battle because of the number of clergy involved, was fought in Yorkshire, Down with the Sassenachs, indeed!

I'm sure Dante's tomb was a nice stop, but I do hope you saw something more in Ravenna. If not, you definitely need to come back!

I spent 2 days there and managed to check most of it out. Theodoric's mauoleum was disappointing but those old cathedrals and mosaics were something else. I actually really liked the vibe and the bikes everywhere (understandable given it is so flat), Was very chill compared to some other Italian cities.
