According to numeroscop.net 287 has the following meaning:
“287=2+8+7=17, 1+7=8

288 is a Harshad number in base 10. Also, I'm pissed because I arrived too late here to write a perfect number (By mathematical definition) and now I have to wait until 496.

More interestingly 288 is the lowest superfactorial where one of its factorial divisors is the factorial of a composite number.
