I just don't get a scum vibe from EMC. Maybe I'm biased like last game because he's my Coalition game buddy but he seems normal to me.

I kinda feel the exact same way. Id feel scum EMC would be a bit higher effort since he was a lot more convincing and talkative in that game he was hostile 3rd party.

The few things he has said feel moderately towny.

I don't mean his read, I mean the "maybe I'm biased like last game" bit. Chaqa was scum last game.

Also, sorry for not posting for a long time, Hosuke and I were at a mutual friend's birthday party (he failed badly trying to talk to the girls lmao) I'll try to get a reread done now hopefully.

This just feels antagonistic for no reason. Almost like theyre putting up an act together.

Agree that this doesn't look good, just not sure it's both of them, or just one of them trying to hide behind this smoke screen. Temasek seems to be trying at least, so I would rather push a Hosuke lynch today (and it also give info for D1).

I don't think it's a scumslip per se, but I do think Chaqa is faking his reactions.

How is faking reactions not a scumslip?

A scumslip is when you inadvertently do something that only scum would do. Faking reactions is something that scum do on purpose, so they are not scumslips. I think it was a scumslip because he didn't take into account that he was scum last game and so his reaction as town this game could not be comparable to his reaction as scum last game.

It's D2. If there is a 1% chance of Vapor being scum, that means there is a 99% chance of him being town. That is as sure as you can get of anything on D2. He is as good as cleared town for now. If he survives a few more nights that may change as there is no legit reason why scum would leave a cleared townie alive for long (other than his reads being absolute crap).

The only thing weird about Vapor is that he posted before the GM posted the night results, which means he already knew he was not going to die. There are different explanations for why that may be the case, and as you say, it will get resolved.

Yes, and I fully believe you have one. But you even admitted on Mafia QT last game (I had a lot of time to read it being NK N2) you were using your RL events to justify your lurking and coasting.

Like I mentioned to Jamie, I'm looking to focus on scumhunting different people in D2. Chaqa and Jamie were my top two scum reads on D1 so I do not intend to focus on them today barring unforeseen circumstances

I would argue those are confirmed scum slips and warrant an early end of phase if they happen. When people talk about scum slips they usually refer to very scummy behaviors.

I am aware sometimes town engages in less than optimal behaviors, but faking reactions is one of the less common ones. I think faking reactions is about as scummy as you can get.

My involvement has been under par due to unpleasant real life reasons. I'll be unable to post more in first half of D2 but should be fully engaged for the last 10 or so hours of D2. Voting me before then is a waste (unless you are scum).

I'm still 30 pages behind.

So why is this a problem when Chaqa does it, but youre totally fine when Damo does it? While Damo is also much more quiet and timid as scum, plenty of times.

Damo knows hes an easy townread when town. He's also fairly often pretty obvious as scum. If he has an important scum PR, isnt this exactly how youd expect damo to act as well?

this ^ great point, I feel like the Hosu vs Tema banter has continued for far too long. I only care what they say about each other in regards to alignments and when it comes to that, they're hedgey
