I am surprised at the amount of claiming given bozo's massclaim didn't take off and bozo is a lead wagon. I don't know where the wrongness is exactly in the series of events, but it's bizarre.

And, sorry... the amount of claiming, and what I said above, combined with how much weight is being put to the claims in some cases, and not in other cases.

We look at mechanics when we don't have anything else. And then we get locked in that. What, concretely, do you recommend we do?

Well, we have 3 clears. We have a few later game claims that are unverifiable and some other claims that are also unverifiable essentially.

Ultimately, I am convinced there is a scum or 2 inside this group of claims because it would be the best way to hide with how many games are boiling down to a lot of focus on gaming the mechanics (when they exist).

I did it to avoid rdr shooting me.
Xorxes did it in case he was NKd and Janitored N1.
Chaqa to avoid lynch.
Percy to avoid lynch.

Both bozo and Jamiet are very meticulous and fastidious readers when they are town. The fact that they both interpreted "later in the game" as "late in the game" in an important claim could be a coincidence, but it is striking.

That is not a misinterpretation, I would say if damo was referring to N2, want he said had the incorrect connotation. Even N1 is later than D1, but if he had a role that could be used N1, I would expect him to say " I have a valuable role", not "I have a role that is valuable later".

Is N2 not later than N1?

Yes but context matters. Imagine on Monday your boss said: Your results for June were so good, I'm considering giving you a promotion later this year. Would you be entitled to complain if your promotion had not arrived by Tuesday afternoon? "Later in the game" can certainly be seen to imply more of a time difference than "next phase".....

I can believe EspressoPatronum thought all of the mafia roles were in play.

The only reason the mafia would use the RB would be to try to RB the tracker. However, using the RB doubles the chance of the tracker tracking a scum if the they RB the wrong player. Did the mafia really believe Vapor is the tracker, and that he was going to track flash, and if so, that flash is the killer? I think it is more likely the RB claim is fake.

Parks a vote on EMC. Never moves it, interestingly enough.

Comes out against the massclaim proposal. (I townread Bozo, and I generally think that scum want to avoid looking like they support these proposals, although there are plenty of counter-examples where they have proposed and supported, of course.)

His reads list (p. 38) seems... a lot like what I'm thinking now. His list of 4 townreads include 3 confirmed town (me, Brainbomb, Vecna) as well as Bozo. If he is scum, he's avoiding trying to make his scummates look good—although there's a big list of nulls/light scumleans to hide them in as well.

It's easy to believe he'd bus Worcej as one of 1 hard scum reads. And he continues to react against Worcej in day 1. But he's also got Chaqa and Damo in his scumleans, and Percy at the bottom of his nulls...

The progression on those reads is:
On N2, he moves Percy into a scumslot while backing away from Worcej. However, in the question of whether to believe Percy's claim on D2, he comes around to agreeing that we should delay voting him (possibly to see if we get the roleblocker before Percy activates on N4 [sic]), with not speculation on Percy fakeclaiming. But then near EOD2 (p. 108), provides his scum team guess to Bozo with Percy right in the middle. Worcej is his 6th scumread.

EOD2, Chaqa shows up and asks for a TLDR. Espresso obliges. Very helpful, especially if it's TvS and they're scummates.

N2/D3 seems to be consumed with the whole smokescreen issue. Which I'm not sure I see as an effort to out the DP, but it is a lot of looking busying and not actually hunting scum or even really replying to much in the rest of the thread.

Jamiet, I don't really see your point about him assuming the janitor was in play so adamantly as to warrant the conclusion that he knew it must be. I highly doubt the scum team had a janitor and holstered/failed to use it; I think it's much more likely that they never had one.

Despite not buying Jamiet's particular take on Espression being scum, I'd still vote for him over several other candidates.

Does the Divine Presence's target always know they were targeted, even if they don't have powers to steal?
