His push on Itshosuke makes no sense. It's very unlikely scum-ItsHosuke saw his the list of fake claims and posted one on a joke. I dislike how he's saying we shouldn't even consider Percy yet because it'll take care of itself in several days, when it's easy to see that if Percy isn't scum, the scum will keep him alive as a point of contention and then kill him before he can be useful. It looks like he's trying to mislynch what could possibly be a long-term townclear.

The difference between Hosuke and Percy/damo is that Hosuke can prove right now that he is town, so there's no risk of mislynching him.

The long term thing is nonsense because we will probably have to massclaim in a few days and so there's very little chance that the other mason remains hidden until the endgame, especially because Hosuke is not doing anything to look townie and therefore we cannot keep him alive just to protect an unknown potential long term clear.

Exposing the second mason now is no loss because there are already two town clears, one provable claim, and two strong NK candidates if they are town (Percy and damo). Adding two town clears into the mix doesn't really change things much.

The scummy thing is to be pushing damo so he has to refine his claim (something mafia would be interested in doing). I could understand it if you had a really strong case on Percy or damo, but I have seen nothing even remotely like that. I find them both towny. I could be wrong. I understand why others could find them slightly scummy. But finding them so much scummier than Chaqa/dargo/flash/Jamiet/EP/emc/... that it warrants lynching them first in spite of their claims? Really?

I fail to see the problem with madonna reveal if they are town. It gives us 2 townclears (with a demo proof) and doesn't increase their NKability.

The longer it is unravelled the more suspicious of ItsHosuke I get.

Also Jamie if you have really solved the clue you should reveal and explain. Until you do so I shall consider you scum.

IDEA:

ItsHosuke reveals his partner and we lynch him. We either sacrifice a town but gain a townclear or we bag 2 scum.

Seems a reasonable gamble to me.

This... is weird... but not all that terrible of an idea. I'm not rushing to support it, but I see the thinking behind it.

The problem I am stuck around is it really doesn't matter what anyone actually claims. With the scum having a list of claims to make to prevent the game from being killed by mechanics, honestly it doesn't matter what anyone's roles are as we lynch them.

This is why the people who have claimed roles that matter later in the game strike me as just pretty bad town play or scum trying to buy time to make it to the later phases.

worcej, the only one that claimed for the sake of claiming was Hosuke. Everyone else had a more or less valid reason. Obviously it's better not to claim, but if someone is pointing a gun at you and you have a valuable role, that's a valid reason. If you think you're a strong NK candidate and there's a potential Janitor, I think that's a valid reason too but you're free to disagree.

The problem, Xorxes, is that all scum have claimable roles no matter what, with no consequence or risk of CC. I think you're playing this like it's a regular game where these things can be sorted out. But if all 5 scum have claimable roles, some of which don't come into effect until later in the game, it just takes us too long to process those claims. Deference to claims makes little sense here.

As far as Percy specifically, I have always found last-minute claims suspicious, and my default setting is that if I'm voting for someone whom I think is scum and they claim without evidence at the last minute, that's insufficient to move off them. (And I'm sometimes wrong about it, but more often right.)

I had reason to believe that if you were scum you would have reacted differently based on something specific you had said that I'm keeping to myself because it's worth looking for related clues.

I know you have the wit to prove you are both town. Please do so. Otherwise ItsHosuke gets lynched and if/when he flips scum I assure you, you will be next.

However having said this I trust in your ability to prove both of you town. This will be a great help as having 4 townclears drastically reduces the scum pool.
