So if this banning people for no reason is going to be allowed does that mean I can just ban anyone I don't like from M48 or ban anyone who issues a ban for no reason like TrPrado and Neph? Does that mean like what Jamie just said he can just ban people from his games?

Is this what Mafia has come too?

Not saying I would, but I am just wondering is this really want we want the community to be?

You can mute me if you want Jamiet, I don't care.
My job puts me on the road in the middle of nowhere most of the time, and the internet is my main source of entertainment during that, so I am quite enjoying this outlet again.

The idea that people running games of Mafia as Volunteers on a free-to-play site should be treated as "a business" is fucked up, BTW. This is not a commercial enterprise and youi can keep your fascist-market-driven shite out of here. Fuck off, you prick.

Go fuck yourself, you troll. Nothing you've posted on this forum in a LONG time is in any way sincere.

You're a failed comedy act; it's quite sad.

Let's calm down Jamie and not get too heated okay? Solutions not problems like the power abusers.

I don't often agree with ND but this is exactly my concern. I totally endorse ND's concerns here.

The sign up thread has enough drama as is Jamiet. If you want to talk to me when you're calmed down, you can PM me.

Shut up. You seek drama. You love conflict. You spam the forum with stupid threads intent on only causing argument.

Go away.

Someone who plays mafia and diplomacy... likes harmless drama and conflict? Guilty.

Look at Fluminator taking pleasure in spoiling our Mafia game and stoking up arguments between us.

What an asshole.

I'm actually the one saying you should take this to PMs and not publicly so this sign up thread isn't toxified anymore, because I don't consider this the interesting type of argument or conflict for other people to read.

Again, you should PM me, and this is the last I'll respond to you publicly on the matter.

I hope that's true, because all of your public posts have polluted the debate and made it worse. Trot on. Byebye.

Omg guys stop!!!

Ok if you don't wanna play just take your name off the list and start your own game with your own rules. That's it. Remove your name and move on. That can be your protest.

Stop spamming the thread and go create your own game if you don't like how this one is being run.

ND, I don't know the context to Chippe, but I'm a libertarian and believe business owners have the right to refuse service to people. This is pretty much the same thing. Prado and Nephy have the right to refuse service to players they don't like.
Oh would you fuck off?

You've become webDip's #1 troll and quite frankly I'm sick of you, Fluminator. I hereby declare that you're banned from any game I GM or co-GM, for evermore. Suck it.
You are clearly the one who started and escalated this fight Jamie. Knock it off.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM THE GM'S:

Thank you to everyone for your input on this matter,

We did not come into this with the intention of excluding anyone. We came to our decision after a discussion with Chippe via PM. The rough dialogue is noted in Neph's earlier post. We both fully intended to run this game as normal and were fully expecting for Chippe to be able to play.

Coming from last game, many people voiced concerns that his behavior was strongly against the spirit of the game, and as such, lessened their enjoyment to the point they would not play if he was also playing, but we didn't want to simply tell him he couldn't play. We took this, what seemed, overwhelming community feeling and approached Chippe to voice these concerns. We simply asked that he post in this thread that he would not do so again. We both felt that this was a very lenient request, and were hoping for it to be a first step in proving to the community that they had nothing to be afraid of in terms of spirit of the game being violated in the future.

He did state privately via PM that he wouldn't try the same tactic (which we would not want to allow in this game anyway) purely because there was no advantage to him, and also said he would not make the public post. This raised two large concerns for Neph and myself.
1. He did not realize that his behavior was directly the cause of a number of players enjoying the previous game less.
2. He did not really appreciate the request of the GM's. While we do not wish to rule with an iron fist, we feel that any reasonable request would hopefully be followed. Especially when the rules, are merely an extension of the GM's requests.

In discussion after this response we decided that it would be best to exclude him from this game, and this decision is firm and final.
I think you both are setting a terrible standard by doing this, FWIW. After reading this post, I am also more upset by how you both are behaving. Chippe stated to you guys he wouldn't do it, but wouldn't make a public post, so he cannot play? Sorry, but why is publicly lynching him mandatory exactly?

My 2cents now said, please remove me from the list of players in this game. I refuse to play in any game where people consider it 'public' yet exclude people without any active violations to the game - I think this is borderline segregation and should not be permitted in this community.

If you want your choice of players, do an invitational game.

Ok so I guess someone has to volunteer to gm a game for Chippe, worcej, ND, Chaqa, jamiet etc
No, I am good. I'll watch from the sideline and chill in the GT unless I am not allowed to have access to it because I am very heavily against the FUBAR exclusion of someone because they didn't like them. Since we've set the precedent now that a GM can just do whatever they want and exclude anyone.

Leaving aside all of Chippe's previous games, does no one defending him see a problem with him telling the GMs of the current game that he won't do as they ask?
As I have stated numerous times, I think the request to publicly have to say he won't do something is beyond reasonable when he already let the GMs know he would not (based on the TrPrado post).
