Claiming alien as reaction test, I can buy. But then affirming the claim and only retracting in the last 30 minutes, it's harder to believe. And claiming the gun? And then being afraid it will be stolen? That's contradictory.

Even with town dargo. it just doesn't make any sense that mafia Ezio would claim the gun to begin with, plus claim alien, all on D1 when nothing was happening.

"Scum" covers both mafia and alien, so what I'm saying is that I can't see him as being mafia, but I now see him as very likely being alien. I still think at this point we should be hunting mafia, not the alien, and that's why I didn't think Ezio was the best lynch for today, but I'm pretty convinced he's the alien by now.

My 50-50 estimation seems much more reasonable than your 100-0.

Anyways, that's water under the bridge. I think you would have shot someone else if you were mafia, and in any case you probably wouldn't have claimed the gun, so I think you're likely town (and a very marginal chance you're alien).

RagingIke claimed a gun D1 as scum in M41 for the purpose of getting town read, and it worked well. It might have won the game for the mafia if his replacement had not been killed by the serial killer. Also, if dargorygel was town, he was a good choice for the shot because he could be justified as a top scum read.

Just because something is possible it doesn't make it likely. Of course we can't clear Ezio for claimimg the gun and shooting dargo, but I don't think he is the best lynch today.

also he's of the mindset that "oh ezio didn't think of this heat gun clear himself so OBVIOUSLY he must be the alien" which is bizarre, as it's entirely possible that he just didn't think of it. It's a pretty NAI thing imo to not bring that up? The heat gun owner should just shoot Ezio and we have a way of confirming if people really care that much

I'm fine with this for the same reasons I'm fine with lynching worcej, plus upon a re read his stuff is ENTIRELY focused around hunting the alien and being reactionary. For all the talk he had about wanting to hunt scum today rather than the alien, he did exactly zero of hunting scum (besides a vote on moscow for no reason that he never addressed or did anything with) and a whole lot of hunting an alien according to him

I knew I was gonna shoot the gun before it could get stolen because I was worried about it being stolen.

What better reaction test than a test that actually makes people think it's real?

I'm really not seeing what's so hard about it. People are talking about how long it took to retract his claim as a bad thing but honestly, he was taking heat for a LONG time with it. If he really WAS alien, there's no reason to hold onto his claim for that long, he should have retracted far earlier

Uh one thing I will say: it would be scummy/out of character for me to not knoe about the heat Ray. I always read the setup and understand it better than almost every player.

again, you're pointing out that the play wasn't optimal as a reaction test

what about that makes him more likely to be an alien? An alien should ALSO be incentivized to retract earlier

There's also an Alien Cop that I assume scanned Ezio and would have tried to defend him if the scan had come clean. Since that hasn't happened all day, I'm assuming the scan came guilty.
