I think it’s pretty clearly bad for town.

Cop should be able to relay their reads more delicately, without having people making it clear they aren’t the real cop by green checking scum

I've played something similar, mafia lost

and regarding fake peeks you generally want everyone to be doing them or nobody to be doing them

I've seen a cop post fake peeks to clear themselves of being a cop, and you can also do smthn called SHC (seer hunt clear) where you get to soft clear a player based on them being green peaked for the same logic (as if a player is killed in a cop hunt and they not cop but their peek was a green then a wolf prolly wouldn't kill them unless to fake SHC)

it's just another thing to play around, it can be used to town's benefit if they play it well

or if they play it poorly wolves can exploit it
