For anyone joining a popular, consider that no one but Jamie has publically said they'll do a points share. If you're in a popco, consider forcing your leader to make a public commit - otherwise the rest of the players won't be able to evaluate truthfulness of PM arrangements post turn end.

Or consider joining Jamie as I have. I think we may be the dog in the rest but at least his stakes are known.
This is unwise advice
How so? It sounds pretty clever.
Besides, according to my intel no one else is in your 'popular' coalition and you haven't made many attempts to change that. Am I wrong?

I could be wrong, but I think in this setup the leaders benefit from secrecy while the adherents do not.

There is no forcing function for coalition leaders to actually follow through with their promises.

No, absolutely. But the popcos do not disburse points to the joinees, so it really only makes sense for them to enforce compliance through public trust tests. Otherwise the leaders are largely incentivized to cheat.

In theory PM cabals can manipulate the game better, but still win through eventually betraying their own members. I'm essentially arguing that right now we should maximize cooperation to maximize EV.

I want one more person, and no more than that. 3 is the magic number. PM me for offers.

Everyone that has joined my coalition by PMing the GM please post here, there is a bunch of confusion going around and we all want those 8 points

I have no general incentives on offer, they're all negotiated individually, because I don't want to end up giving more points away than I need to. I'd be wary of anyone offering deals in the forum that seem too good to be true

The only people left are me and worcej, so that's who you've got to be negotiating with.

I'm in the Gambler's Anonymous, as promised. Not happy about it though.

I agree that 3 is the magic number for Popularity coalitions. Mathematically speaking.

I'd say 4 was better. If the other guy goes for 3 as well then you only get 4 points, but if you get 4 and the other coalition only gets 3, you've got 6 points.

That's true, but what are the odds someone else also gets 3? You need to factor that in as well.

worcej - you should talk to Ezio. I think he will find a good spot for you to end up.

Don't think so, we'd halve our points and not get any bonus points

But the risk otherwise is getting zero. Are you confident you're in the lead?
