Well, I think that's why the joins are supposed to be secret, so you don't know if you're joining a Gamble coalition with an odd or an even number of people, cause you don't know how many people have joined. So you don't know if someone has already joined RagingIke and you're all on 2 points at the moment

I was going to offer points to people to screw over the gamblers, but I see that is not presently necessary.

No - I wouldn’t get twelve because I’d be giving 5 to you. At least that’s how I interpreted it.

Gifting Points : During all but the last phase of the game, a player may give up to 5 points per phase to another player. This may be done privately or publicly. This is done publicly by posting ##Give [player] xxx points. This action will take place immediately and cannot be undone. This is done privately by PMing the GM the same command. If done privately, it will not be processed until the end of the phase, and will be reflected on the results of the phase. This may be done as part of an agreement, a bribe, hiring a thief, etc.

Good point Tom... I am interpreting the above as meaning we have a 5 point budget we can use every turn, could obviously be entirely wrong.

RagingIke is right. If anyone joins him and me, they'd just guarantee themselves 2 points which is a surefire way to lose.
