For questions such as this, simply apply the Vlad test.

If Vlad the Impaler asked for a salad and you gave him some weetabix and milk, would you expect to end your days in agony with a spike up your bottom? If the answer is yes, it ain't a salad.

Using the Vlad method we discover it is neither soup nor salad.
