There's a lot less congestion on the roads, and you're far likelier to find a seat on public transport :)

I am just so glad that the infection is not spread by bugs. I can handle a deluge of pictures of that little spikey ball germ thing. But imagine opening up CNN.com every day to stock photos of ugly bugs.

Will reduce carbon emissions temporarily, due to reduced travel and economic activity, with some prospect of a better capacity for reductions in the future too, if working from home becomes more established and travel patterns change.

Increased trust in scientific and expert advice, due to the quick demonstration of scientists being proved right and the conspiracy theorists and populists wrong.

Less riding so close to the edge by all systems in the future - health, banking etc.

I am convincing people to play boardgames online.

People will realize they are mortal after all and will start to treasure and respect life more.

I doubt very much that there will be increased trust in science and experts, considering the vast amounts of contradictory advice various scientists have come up with in recent months. Nor do I believe that there will be any significant lessons learned after the event, as we've never learned much before from any of the other others.

We may get longer term carbon reductions if this gives a boost to the growth of working from home, though. There's always hope.

And dead people are generally less polluting, of course.

here's a lesson that most will never learn, but should:

The economic value of actually useful things = real value. EG: Food, water, shelter, guns, ammo, tools.

The economic values of non essential things = shit. EG: travel, restaurants, luxury, services, etc. Toilet Paper had virtually no value, NEWS FLASH: you can clean your ass with water. People who think that toilet paper is important, likely don't have a good stockpile of the actually important shit...

Your lesson is bunk, mate. If we ever get to the point where a gun is more essential than bog roll to the average person then civilisation has gone badly wrong.

You are blocked from joining, rejoining, or creating new games for 15 days, 4 hours because you were too unreliable.

I asked mods too many times that now my shame prevents me to ask anymore.
