Well, Snapchat doesn't really have followers per se. It's mostly for sending pictures and chatting. Instagram maybe, but it's also a good platform for sending memes and stuff and lots of us young people use it as a social media thing.

I'll get a phone number because that's easier on me to use, but to me Tinder is meant to be the dating app equivalent of a social media account. I'm actually blown away a bit that people use Tinder primarily to add people on other accounts to then set up dates... what's the point? Switching to text for logistical convenience I get, this other stuff I don't. Y'all kids are crazy.

All this said, I also agree with the Major, by far my most successful route has been good old-fashioned in-person approaches. The irony is that I think it's actually easier than using dating apps at this point, too. It's much easier for people to be selective and picky when they can literally drag their finger across a screen and see dozens of other candidates. You need basic social skills, not to be repulsive, and to have a sense of time and place, so maybe you shmucks shouldn't try it but I find girls at least are much more receptive when they have someone directly in front of them instead of just a picture and some text on a screen.

most ppl on tinder do it for attention and for something tp pull up with friends and laugh at.

In-person works too but it's more convenient to be able to Tinder when you don't have time to be social sometimes.

I'm a man who uses it successfully. Men are just kinda shit at doing basic shit like hygiene and dressing decently and treating women like more than sex objects. Very easy to improve on these things

I know plenty of men who understand how not to be a repulsive freak that still struggle to replicate their dating success in other places, like meeting women at bars or through hobbies, on dating apps. "Don't be an asshole" is right up there with "JuSt Be YoUrSeLf" as aggressively useless "advice" for solving that problem
