I'll be posting an update in a week or so on where we are in the tournaments, but its safe to say that we're in the home stretch. Fewer than 15 matchups left in both tournaments. We're now just mainly stuck on the straggler groups from earlier that are taking a longer time to work through the bracket.

Hey there everyone! It's been a while, and I think time to update everyone. Both tournaments are now reaching their finals stages, and only have a few games left.

First up we have the GvI Showdown. Those who are still alive right now, I just gave them the worst possible ranking they could have. The standings are as follows:

Thanks for the update, Gokdfinger, lots of work no doubt. Just an updat that I think I’m out of both showdowns. My loss to RJ in FvA is logged and breaca just beat me 2-1 in the GvI losers bracket (gm3 tiebreak).

Set 153 GvI: cspieker over Breaca 2-0

Just to speed things up a bit (since I know my part of the draw is behind) - dagabs0 is about to defeat CCR in FvA set 158 2-1

..and I think cspieker has eliminated MadMarx already.

Another update everyone! We have our first Finals match!

The FvA Showdown Finals feature xorxes vs. cspieker, after cspieker bested genghiz in a tense semifinal match.

The GvI Showdown is taking a little longer, with the top 5 players still battling it out. rdrivera2005 and MadMarx are battling it out here and here for 5th place. The winner has to go through a daunting gauntlet of cspieker and CptMike to have the privilege to challenge xorxes for the #1 spot.

Once both tournaments are done, I'll update everyone with a final rankings and deal out all those prize points you earned!

And we have our first winner! The FvA Showdown is complete! After cspieker took the first round and handed xorxes his first series loss of the tournament, xorxes took his revenge in round two and has claimed victory! Congratulations to him!

Meanwhile over in the GvI Showdown, MadMarx and cspieker are battling it out in a quarterfinal to see who can challenge CptMike to win the losers bracket.

Thank you for everyone who participated in the FvA Showdown. I will be handing out points to everyone at the conclusion of the GvI Showdown.
