Matches have been posted to the tournament site but I’m swamped until Wednesday evening. So game links will go out then for round 3.

Which also gives people a little more time to sort out their round two games.

The format will likely change a little next season based on what we’ve learned from this season
I really, really think that the round three games should only start after all the round two games are concluded.
Naw then I'll have to drop out
Is this meant to be a positive or negative?

When I made the tournament I said games would be posted at the beginning of each month. It wouldn't be fair to change that mid tournament. Something to consider for next season however.

We're down a tier4 player for round 3, and I've tapped out all my subs, if anyone wants a spot hit me up.

I'm also willing to let players from another tier sub in if they'd like. Your position isn't terrible you'd probably 40 points going into round 3.

@damian I can handle another game if you can't find anyone to sub, although if someone new outside the tournament wants it they should have it.

@damian, I would like to be considered for the empty slot in tier 4, I play in 3 but 4 I guess maybe more to my caliber.

All the scores on the tournament page have been updated. Congrats to Zachattack413 on his solo.

I've contacted all the members who are missing from their round 3 games to remind them to join.

However I'm also in need of a Tier 1 sub as HR has withdrawn from the tournament. I'm waiting on a response from the last person on my potential list of subs, but if anyone would like to volunteer. Please contact me. If you're in tier 2 and want to play in both tiers, and nobody contacts me you may also be able to sneak into tier 1 that way. ;)

What are the tournament rules for no shows? Does the game pause if someone hasn't entered orders or does it just roll through?

It will pause for orders in the event of a no-show to give me time to sort out the issues. There should essentially be no NMRs in the tournament.

Speaking of which I'm looking for a tier 3 and a tier 4 sub. If anyone from tier 4 wants a shot in tier 3 speak up and I'd be happy to slot you in. I'll be trying to find people are quickly as possible. My apologies to everyone affected by the delays.

If some of the lower tiers want to follow a game to learn great tips and interesting new strategies, take a look at The Hanged Man's novel opening in our game:

I think in the future, the leagues should be an anonymous tournament with an anonymous standing - that would truly be fun and can showcase who's actually good... This, not so much.

Whoever takes over running the leagues will figure it out.
Leagues have always traditionally been non-anon.

Anyways. I'm looking for someone to sub into tier 1 and someone to sub into tier 2.

If anyone from tier 2 wants to play in tier 1 and anyone in tier 3 wants to play in tier 2 let me know. I'll slot you in.

I've already been hunting for the better part of a week. But if anyone is willing to take a tier 4 spot and hasn't contacted me yet. Please do so.

Once a round ends, you can see who played each country, so it would be pretty easy to figure out standings.

Maybe it should be 3 simultaneous anon games in that case.

I really like this format. Knowing who people are changes the play making it far more realistic. It's not the format that the problem. I think the biggest issue comes from that beautiful human instinct to take revenge. Road rage with SCs. I think it's controlling that rage, or at least hiding it that makes these games interesting. My hardest challenge comes from the limited turns.
