In that case, I should probably let you know that he recruited me as a full press player.

Can we do this, then?

I'll be captain for Team Canada. I think I'd also accept anywhere with legal weed. I'm a full press player.

Recruiter: Condescension

Captain: Condescension
Vice: Hamilton Brian
FullPress (x2): Condescension, Hamilton Brian
Public Press: Halt
Gunboat: Hamilton Brian
Sub(s):

I dropped myself in both FP and Gunboat since I am good with either. WE have some others that we haven't heard from: Lando, someone from Kingston.

Works for me. I believe irelandball also expressed an interest in joining so maybe we could put him into Gunboat?

I will captain a team from the American South. I live in Eufaula, Alabama. We can be team gulf coast, team SEC, or whatever. I think I am close enough to qualify as east coast; I work in Georgia, at least. I am mediocre at best at public press and downright bad at gunboat, though.
Baton Rouge, Louisiana checking in.

We're still looking for new team members.
Also @PRINCE WILLIAM
I must say, I'm terrible at gunboats.

Not sure what the Midwest team looks like currently, but a couple of family members and I are interested in putting a team together. I don't think you'd mistake any of us for great players, but we're certainly passable. If we would need to start a second Midwest team, we'd also be happy to have a fourth player join up with us (and preferably a sub too).

Just a reminder for anyone wanting to join the West Coast Team, we only have 1 spot left open, the substitute

Midwest team is full, sad to say. But we do have 2 subs so I'm sure one of them would be happy to join a secondary Midwest team.

If one of them wants to hop on, go ahead and send them our way; we'd be happy to have them. I can probably find another sub for our team too.

Also, I'm going to be extending signups by another week to give everyone a little more time, and to lessen the overlap with the ongoing Leagues.

New deadline to sign up is March 9th

I would like to play in FP though if Hamilton Brian prefers FP and you have someone for Gunboat that's cool too

In the event you can't find anyone else I could potentially sub for team Canada.

Yo why don't we have 1v1? Too weird logistically for this format?

I'd join a PNW or UK team as a 1v1 specialist.

I don't quite see how you can have a 1v1 in this tournament. It would be a mess logistically and hard to score. There would have to be something like 42 matches to organize for each group and each stage. And whereas in every other game its possible for one team to walk away with all 438 points, it would be impossible for 1v1 - the max score would be 120 - so the point differentials between teams would be small. Plus, at that point size might be getting prohibitive to forming teams, which is the ultimate goal. At a minimum, this tournament already calls for 84 participants. To bump it up to a 105 minimum, plus subs, would probably not be too beneficial.
