Hey, since you are extending the signups, how about guaranteeing entry to *all* those currently signed up, I’d hate for someone showing interest from the start to get bounced out of the tournament because of extending the deadline?

You've played 19 according to the list! As long as you do well enough in the games (or you win against good players) you can rise in elo pretty damn quickly :D Vixol is at #51 with 9 games played.

Guess all the first round groups could have three instead of four, though hopefully more sign up so some groups would have four...

There was trouble reaching 32 already 2 years ago, and I think it has slowed down since, so I am not that surprised.

I can play, I didn't signed because for some reason I am not on the ghost rating.

Updated the list, we're at 28 now. I'm going to go ahead and shoot invites to inactive players to see if we can encourage a few to come back - 1v1 players on other sites is a good idea but I don't think any other sites have a good 1v1 rating system, so I'm not sure how to find out who even plays 1v1.

@rd, you're not on the 12mo list because you haven't played a (non-bot) 1v1 game in 12 months. You're on the all time list, which is at the bottom of the next post in the thread; I've used your rating from that!

Are we still at 28? If so, would it be accurate to say that the next four to sign up (via the link provided) would automatically qualify, regardless of rank, and that signups would close immediately once we get to 32?

If you’ve ever been interested in trying out 1v1, this is an excellent opportunity to play three quality opponents (minimum) and learn the ins and outs of 1v1 very quickly, seize the opportunity before it passes you by!!

We have officially hit 32! All players who signed up are in, which will lead to a bit of an elo disparity in some of the groups but as MM said, it's a solid opportunity to learn and/or surprise everyone.

I'll be doing general setup now (including group draws) and sending out PMs later tonight.

I can't figure out how to have this done automatically in Challonge, so I'm going to be doing this via random.org lists - each pool will have the order randomised, and the first in each pool will be grouped together, second in each pool will be grouped together, etc.

With a rather significant margin, group F is the group of death in terms of average GR!
In fact, the difference between F (1st) and A (2nd) is almost double that of A(2nd) and H (8th).

If you draw the same country in both games in a set, please don't enter orders until I reassign them!
